This is a very sad story and yes Science has a alot to do with it ... i hate drug companies They will create the moring after pill this is ture ... Then they will Advertise The Vantiny Drugs like Vaigrina and more drugs like that .... for People ... Wasting the tax payers mony for this when the money should be Concentrated .. on Curing Cancer or Aids ... There are wosre things out here that need to be addressed....

The morning after pill is a solution intended to prevent more abortions. And your taxes don't pay the drug companies. People pay for the drugs when they buy them or when they pay for their medical insurance. (At least in the US, where based on the location you state ..."somewhere in the land of the free"... I'm assuming you're from.)

"Killing someone" is perfectly legal and even honorable in certain circumstances. You can't appeal on the grounds that it's universally wrong.

Personally, I am against abortion, but only as it affects ME. I would never advise ANYONE to have an abortion, if they asked. I wouldn't want anyone in my family to have one.

BUT, I would NEVER have the arrogance to tell someone else that they can't.

The thing that kills me is that most of the people who are oh-so against abortion would never even THINK about adopting a rejected child. You never hear "Abortion is wrong and it's murder, but if you don't want that child, send it my way. I'll provide a nice home for it."

We can't always turn every issue into a hypothetical. This isn't The Minority Report. That same aborted fetus could've also grown up to become the dictator of a nuclear power, a child molester, a serial killer etc. We have no way of knowing what the potential will be, so it's moronic of you to base your argument around their potential good.

So then we have to weigh the pro-verses-con on something realistic. You unfortunately throw around right and wrong, intangible qualifiers that can't really be used in this debate because of their subjectivity. I personally don't feel abortion is wrong. Now while I feel that the focus should be on improving ways to not get pregnant in the first place, the Christian philosophy of guilt-tripped abstinence that makes you hate your body and sexuality doesn't even begin to address the realistic results of this. Men and women will have sex and telling them God doesn't want them to hasn't changed that fact in several millennia.

So, right verses wrong. If someone's raped by a complete stranger or molested by their father and becomes pregnant, you want to extend the same "THIS IS WRONG" red swipe on this matter as well? That's hypocrisy. Saying "END OF STORY, exclamation points added for emphasis!!!" doesn't address any of the contingencies; interesting as you make your viewpoint solely around a hypothetical anyway.

Ultimately it's not the right of a man in any capacity to dictate what a woman does with their uterus. And I am offended that such a close-minded Christian, of whom I am most assuredly confident is in the camp that wants to deny me, as a gay person, my civil right to be married, has the audacity to bring up rights in the first place. Get back to me when you and your friends learn how to actually accomplish Jesus' message as he stated it, not as you and Pat Robertson want to believe it.
