Actually cheese is not a fungus at all..its cultured milk and contains bacteria and occaisionally mold. Bacteria and molds awre not fungi.

Perhaps your husband is a government spy? Perhaps you should not log your chats-destroy all evidence. Besides, hanging on to chat logs so you can read them later is living in the past.

Because I don't promise fast answers, and I have not had time to go hunt the damned feature down yet. Or perhaps I have not come up with the right answer..sometimes question require more thought. Especial technical ones from people who should know better..you question demands a philosophical and not practical answer and I am working on it. No. There are legal ways to do all three, depending on where you want to be..
For example prositution is allowed in parts of nevada. Drug dealing is legal in amsterdam..or even better, deal in desinger drugs not exactly banned by the FDA.

As far as theft..well they did it legally at Enron for years, they just pushed the model too far, too long.

And really none of the above is illegal in second life, if you can sort out how to make it work. Marrying form money is, ultimately, perfectly legal.

What is SLSTATS and what is all the flap that surrounds it?"

SL stats is a record keeping system whereby people wear a watch-like device that records where they go, where thye shop, who they see, and other such information. The idea is that such information can be used to documents use pattersn in second life and track trends and such more easily. the information retained is stored is a big database.

Of course noone seems to grasp the more sinsiter implications of a tracking device, or appreciate that this is a massive invasion of privacy. As is typical "oh this will benefit everyone, is the basis to justify the curtailing of expectations of privacy." Collectively the most forgotten lesson of 20th centruy history is that hitler was elected.

The flap is basically that SL stats is the gateway to bigbrother. Originally, there was a not that would pop up when someone who used one of these devices was recording your presence. It allowed you to opt out, so that your information and contact would not be part of the SLstats database. Apparently this system was ineffective, and records were kept, even on people who opted out.

Now it seems, that even the opt out system has been done away with, since LL condones the watching and monitoring of all users online for any purpose. It is in the TOS and we all agreed to it. Thus SL Stats is freely monitoring witout the right to opt out, or otherwise protecting privacy.

Yes, we must accept it, if it has LL authority, which I am not sure it does, but the people who are running this service, who ever they may be are utter cads, stepping all over the privacy of the users.

Hrm. So, why would anyone opt-*in* to SL Stats? Was there some sort of benefit to doing so, like a neat script or access to the databases? I don't currently wear any special devices that I don't know about....do I?
