Intelligent design is a junk science...

Darwin, undoubtably would disagree with ID entirely...

Einstien would have regarded the notion of ID as soemthign unneccessary...
Thank you for that answer Jake. I have additional questions for you now though :)

Is ID strictly for how humans came about or is it for the creation of the universe as a whole?

Does it stand up to any science that is currently considered science (quantum, string, etc.)?

Are there any areas of science that meet the same qualifications (or lack there of) as ID?

Again thank you for this invaluable service! :)

Hello Jake, I have a 'small' question. What is nanotechnology and how will it impact our lives once in place?

Jake, Does a bullfrog always bump his ass when he Jumps?

No. Althought the biomechanics of a frog jumping are only know coming to be fully understood. Frog jumps require the bullfrog's glutteus mximus to be used not only as a source of power for the jump, but also as a shock absorber, marveluuously, the frogs muscles act like a kinetic energy capacitor, wiht one jump powering the next.

In theory, ID applies to the creation of the universe, though in practicality is simply a mask for creationism that deals with only life on earth. One major problem with ID is how do you explain life on other planets, and why in a universe of infinite size are jude0-christians gods chosen people?

The answer to your second question is no. ID lacks the accepted foundations of scientific theory, most particularly in the are of testability and falisfiablilty. ther eis no way to prove a god does or does not exist, so how do you prove that god desinged the universe. putting ID against any accepted scientifc theory is a bit like comparing apples and oranges.

Faith is an emotional response, not a reasonable one. If you try to rationalize faith, the you will erode it. Also, ID tends to force you to take a literal interpretation of the bible, which is the source of much inconsistency: at time the christian faith takes the bible literally, and at other times it interprets the word of god more broadly (I never have read the passage that says playing dnD is anti-christian).

Again the answer to yor third question is no. There is a long entrenched scientific method wich allows observations and evaluations to be made based on a set of assumptions dervied from prior testing. However, if something new comes along that is incosistent with prior assumptions, we either go back and re write the assumptions or we accept the new Idea fails. The problem with ID is that you can't ever reevaluate it. How many people advocating intelligent design really would go back and re-evaluate thier beliefs based on contraverting evidence. Hell thats what the whole debate is about. Evolution is a superior contraverting theory that present evidence inconsistent with assertions of ID, yet the ID advocates do not want to accept the fallibility of their theory, so it get railroaded into the system.

If anything is comperable to ID its astrology, alchemy numerology, phrenology, palmistry and cartomancy.

Hello Jake, I have a 'small' question. What is nanotechnology and how will it impact our lives once in place?

A nanometer is one millionth of a millimeter.

Nano technology refers to the creation of devices at this scale. In effect nanotechnology represents particles of machines assembling and creating at the molcular level.

Nano technology is alot like any other technology, sayig how it will impact our lives is impossible. Mostly nano technology will be a new way of accomplish the same tasks. the potential is huge-I mean aids patients could be cured by having a self replicating naon tech immune stsyem that devours any foreign bodies in the blood.

On the flip side, horror stories about self replicating nanobots devouring the world like a horad of raampaging army ants have been written.

The only thing I know for sure is whatever ultimate use nantechnology gets put to, the pron industry will have been their first. pronography is always at the cutting edge of technology.

I believe that was actually in one of the heretical works of Gary Gygax (also known as Thomas) as a ploy for publicity... (They sure were farthinking way back then weren't they?) :p

OK, last question (for the moment). Will Ulrika get banned from the forums before Christmas or will she find God (of her choice of course)? :)

It depends on how much you like pornography. After all if the metaverse becomes a reality, the first industry to maximize its potential will the the porno industry. If we ever get video capture, I am going to become the amatuer porno king of SL. I will complie videos submitted by avi couples ans put a really bad soundtrack over it and distrubute it. AVI porn is a under exploited resource.

Well, it's hard to exploit something when it's so gosh darn prolific. :D

Jake, what costumes do you think will be the most original for Halloween 2006?

Teletubbies, of course, returned as part of the "retro" fad sweeping america. And for those who cannot stand the teletubbies, the retro craze will bring back the mask from "Scream."
Can't wait for the "The Craft" to come back as a miniseries.

Some one very adventurous will have a Buffy costume from the MOVIE not the show.

To the person who sent me the e-mail question. You did not specify if you want me to post your question, and given its sensitive nature, I am not inclined to do so.

The answer I would give is this: Yes. You should always be mindful of your instincts. We develope gut reactions and commone sense based on the reuslts of past experiences which are analogous. That being said, all people are different, and you should not force a new lover to repeat the mistakes of past lovers because you cannot let the past lover go.

I have said it time and again: Do not try to fix the past relationship using the current one. You must appreciate the new person for who they are, and they deserve to not be compared foible for foible or triumph for triumph with your ex.

If you ex were all that, you'd still be with them. And if the new person is that much like your ex, you should see whats coming. But none can live down, or live up to the past.

Allright, for the furture, if you send me emails with anonymous questions, please let me no if its ok to post them. Sometimes a situation is easily identifiable from the particular facts. I am cautions.

Dear Jake,

When a good time turns around, must I really whip it? Will I never live it down unless I whip it? Is it true that no one gets their way until they whip it?

Thank you in advance,

Why do people who say "there's no 'I' in Team" get upset when I point out to them that there is also no 'U'?

Well dear readers it seems I am now competing for your questions with others, so I wonder if this means I should adevertise and engage in shameless self promotion? But I think its enought to know I did it firs, and still do it best.

Thanks again for reading.

T. Rubio

No she is not really going out with him, she's just doing it make you Jealous. Right now she's your best freinds girl, but remeber she used to be yours.

Its a phase, you can ger her if you really want, but you must try, try and try, and you'll succeed at last.

Of course my advice is that this chick is a psycho hose beast, and would you really want some chick who uses your best freind to make you jealous, and then dumps him to come back to you.

"Frailty, thay name is woman," as Hamlet said. I am not sure if it is really all that true, but in the above situation, keep the friend and dump the girl.

1. No. Its not all that complicated, some times you just have to let the good times roll, let them knock you around, let the good times roll, let them make you a clown, let them leave you up in the air, let them brush your roch and roll hair.

2. No. You don't need to worry about living it down, rather you should worry about living it up when you are going down.

3. No. Because you can go your own way (go your own way) and call it another lonely day).

However if youreally like being whipped can I suggest that you spend some time at Club Wandersex, they have soem very interesting attractions there, and I am told its coming to SL soon.
