Also Flipper is there a way I can post events outside of SL. Like via the web? That would be very useful.

Enebran talked about sniping; I directed him to the other thread where he could see that I am not, in fact, having any kind of altercation with Flipper, just disagreeing with his interpretation of some things.

Check this out:

Enabran was not even talking about you.

I'm quite aware that is a possibility, however remote. I'm also aware that is often a ruse often used by people here who absolutely are talking about, to, or SNIPING at, a particular individual, but since they don't name them directly, can claim that they weren't if you call them on it. Consequently, I'm not impressed with that particular ruse.

Plus, I looked over the thread and couldn't find anyone else you were talking about.

SEE WHAT I MEAN?

Do you actually read anything you respond to? See here for the post where I quote the post which inspired my post. (Which, again, had not a thing to do with your post.)

In any case, it does seem as though I will have to pull a Siggy. For your future reference, I will append everything I ever post with one of the following two tags. To help you out and to save everytone else this embarassing spectacle.

1) ONTAC: OMFG, Not Talking About Cocoanut.
2) YTTIATAC: Yes, This Time I Am Talking About Cocoanut.

I will tag this post with YTTIATAC. Please let me know if I can provide you with further clarification.

Ah yes, I stand corrected. The second, shorter paragraph on that could be considered taking snipes.

Features I'm planning on integrating:

(1) Remind me of this event with email/IM
(2) Notify me of all events that this host runs
(3) Notify me of all events in this sim
(4) Ability to add recurring events (most likely through the web site)
(5) Next three hours of events will be featured on the SLBoutique.com home page

4 and 5 have now been launched. The next few events are being featured on the SLBoutique.com home page, with a link to "MORE EVENTS" for the full listing. From the events page, you can also now edit your events - to change the title, description or host of the event.

The coolest new feature is recurring events - you can set it to be either WEEKLY or MONTHLY for the recurring period. After the current event's time has passed, it will automatically set the event date to a week or month later.

Also, thanks for the continuing support, folks! Sorry if anyone felt this doesn't belong in General, but I wanted feedback from the community on how this list can best be used and restricted to actual events.

Adding an option for web-based adding has crossed my mind, I'm considering how to tackle a full list of Simulators due to their rapid pace of addition. Margaret, the idea for an in-world prim is a great one - I'll do that ASAP. :-)

Enjoy!

Agreed this totally rocks Flip and I cannot wait for the reminder features to launch!

I must apologize at reading posts wrong on occasion. When things are in those blue boxes, I apparently miss them sometimes, thinking they are just part of someone's signature or something, depending on where the box appears. A huge quote, I don't make that mistake.

Making such mistakes more likely is the fact that Enabran has trained me well.

Nope, can't just say "Gee, I jumped to a conclusion, and kept on about it even after being told it wasn't about me. Sorry I missed that". Nope. It has to be a bunch of vapid reasoning to water the apology down! Be sure to turn it around on the person you errantly attacked too! Try your best to show how you're not really wrong, even when admitting to being wrong! *groan*

Note to self: Only use "huge quotes" when replying to people, so that Cocoanut doesn't get confused and go off half-cocked.

*wonders why Coco doesn't simply use that ignore button, thinks it has something to do with pride, ego, and overblown self-righteousness.*

What's the point in being sincere Nolan?

Afterall, when you are a public figure, it's easier to blame someone else for your mistakes.

Yes, Nolan, I jumped to a conclusion, and kept on about it even after being told it wasn't about me.

As for Enebran, the fact is, he has trained me well. Along with a few others. (Nonetheless, I often find he is funny, and I sometimes agree with him on issues.)

No, it has to do with all the same other reasons why other people don't like to use the ignore button.

But did you enjoy using that string of adjectives?

Nah, you've trained yourself.

They're nouns, by the way, all three of them. Being that you are an award winning writer, I thought you would have recognized that. Whoopsy!

Way to derail a thread with personal issues.

I have no comment on the actual issue here, but it does seem to me that the art of indirect personal attacks has been raised to high art on SL forums.

So because some folks may have done what you are describing, then we must be diligently paranoid, and derail every thread that might be possibly construed as such with these off-topic "observations".

Officer Dogspot, on the spot!

What do you propose to do? Outlaw any thread you two deem to be about someone in particular, yet doesn't name names? Or will you two just continue "observing" and wagging your fingers at people who obviously are never going to change for you? I believe it was you who once told me something along the lines of "If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it." Sometimes one's own medicine is the hardest to swallow, isn't it?

Don't start shit with me, Nolan. I'm not pointing fingers or taking sides. I'm just making a comment on what I've observed here on SL forums.

In another thread, I posted a similar comment. Many people on SL forums have become very adept at personal attacks while at the same time treading the fine line of the TOS by not naming names.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand who the recipient of the (indirect) personal attack is.

It's just an observation. I'm not judging it, I'm not taking sides, nor am I pointing fingers.

Here's the deal, Nolan. I'm going to AR your post to me and I'm gonna AR every post where you try to push shit in my face.

Perhaps you'll eventually get the message that SL forums are not your own sandbox for dishing out abuse.
