'Impeach Bush' Signs - Solution?

Have you looked at my shot of my club in Amida? He has a spinning american flag, 2 big signs, 2 spinning cube signs, and one gigantic 4 piece sign.

While that always sound good keep in mind there are people with money willing to pay that much to just be rid of them. At 2000 - 16000 a plot, I'm pretty sure he can cover some amount of his tier if just one fool buys a couple of his plots to save his business or return his ocean view.

That's so true. I was very close to buy the plots just to get rid of them. I opened up a browser to withdraw some money from Ginko (lol), but got distracted and visted the forums to find out it was going on everywhere. Never thought I'd find anything practically useful in the General forum.

People...problem is simply fixed. Look at real life laws and go by them. If one person in a neighborhood is putting things in their yard that causes the entire neighborhood to look bad then take up a petition of all in that neighborhood who want it gone. Send this petiton to whatever Linden would be in charge of such things.

In real, if you have one house with trash , junk, old cars, etc... makeing an eyesore, the nighborhood simply needs to take the one doing the wronged to court.

These signs, in my oppinion, ARE being used to harrass others. My feelings on what the signs say matters not, it is the corrupt use of this that is wrong. Even the continued arguement on this in these forums is giveing the accused exactly what he wants. publicity.

Many of us have contacted the Lindens. Alot have filed abuse reports and I've even made note of this thread in the HotLine section. Its just it seems like we're being ignored or LL doesn't know how to handle this. Honestly if it was up to me I'd ban him for 2 weeks just so he can come back to find all his land revoked and up for auction if it hasn't already been sold. And if I was really feeling like an @$$hole I'd limit his buying/selling of lindens in LindeX so he can't easily pay his tier when he tries to recoup his losses or tries to get back into his crooked business practices. But hey thats just me.

Well get this... He is selling a 16 meter or so plot for 500... I call that wrong.

The thing is that everybody needs to realise and remember the sole purpose of SL, and that is for LL to make money. In the process of LL makeing money WE get to make money. Slum land-lords practice this technique all the time when they buy up cheap property, make it even worse than what it is and then sell it for a huge profit to the business next door.

It's wrong and immoral but there is no law against it. That's in the real world.

In SL, it goes against the agreement we all okay when playing. It IS harrasment and behavior that causes many others in SL to not have fun. The Lindens owe it to all of us to take action against this person.

I posted at the beginning of this thread that I agreed with the signs....Well, I do agree with the message on the sign BUT, the purpose of the signs is certainly to be frowned upon.

now, I personaly would love to see an in-world boycot in front of LL to remove these unsightly signs. anyone second this?

Yes. The one near my satellite store in Yori is sitting on some 8 little teensy squares of land, selling for $500 each.

Personally I think its quite rude to act in this manner.

If everyone files an abuse report, maybe they will get him to take down the signs and he can eat his tier costs. He has over 300 small plots last time I checked.

The mere fact that the land is for sale is proof enough that the owner is not intending this as purely a political statement.

What we need to do is encourage every neighbor who is affected by these eyesores to file AR's. If enough people AR this guy, then LL might take action... or they might tell us all what to go do with ourselves... either way, I think his point has been made.

I wonder what his tier is up to? How long do you think this guy will keep spending money to support his "political statement"?

Guess what, I have sent out abuse reports so has my mate and my friends who are also haunted by the big blue sign of extortion. We have yet to see LL do anything but say "send in an abuse repot" when we have been doing nothing but. On my micro plots that I sell I have my own signs: Impeach Land Extortioners and one sign that says to send your extortion money to the troops who deal with reality while he protests the war in virtual reality. If any of the neighbors want my signs removed I will do so, I have no objections. Him on the other hand, will cry free speech and will harass you with more signs.

There is ONE point in his favor, Ron. His signs go away when you click on them... at least for 20 minutes.

So at least, you can come in, click the signs, and have 20 minutes of Impeachment free SL.

I'm having a hard time myself with the issue. I'm not sure if my dislike is motivated by the message or the way he's hitting us all over the head with it.
