If you really believe that SL ageplay leads to or nutures RL child exploitaion (rather than RL ageplay?), she's suggesting you dont play Grand Theft Auto, which contains a LOT of graphic violence, as your logic would dictate that would lead you towards that in real life as well.

The truth of the matter is that mentally you must question if the person who is rolepalying an adult who has a sexual relationship with a child avatar, what is going on in that person's brain in RL? People get this surreal notion that once you enter virtual reality that there isn't a brain behind it all and it's completely different. Actually, the fact that someone can play someone out of their character is true hence why it is roleplaying however, is the person just making up a fictional multiple personality that is nothing like what he or she is in real life or is that person acting out of their own brain graphic scenes they like in real life and projecting that into Second Life?

I haven't really investigated unbiased information regarding ageplayers, how their minds work, if there is any correlation between their real life minds or their second life roleplaying character.

It would be VERY interesting if someone played a split personality of a person who was a child molestor in second life but had no fantasies in real of molesting a child at all. Vice versa. A child roleplaying a child being molested but had no fantasies at all in real life.

I haven't been in this game long enough to investigate. Investigations like this take time and knowing who is ageplaying, evaluating them and asking questions. Do you really think I run around second life walking up to random strangers and ask "Excuse me, do you like to have sex with child avatars?!?"

Based on this topic alone, I am giving my thoughts. If I could have access to a few study subjects, then I would feel the full picture rather than the basis of real life abusers, rapists and their obsessive behaviors. I will tell you that if someone is obsessively having sex with child avatars, their second life revolves around that then it's not what you want to hear but it's HIGHLY probable that in real life, the person has a child porn addiction. It's the same with those who have porn addictions in general. There are certain patterns and behavioral habits that some people just cannot hide.
