You don't get it do you? See it's THIS simple.... Blake got suspended for griefing! ie, Linden Lab see it the same way I do. Just because you don't agree doesnt make me or them wrong. Shoot someone and get reported, you get suspended. For griefing. No drama unless people like you turn it into one like this.

There's something called "Witnesses" for a reason, and also a purpose they serve.

Yup. Those are some seriously powerful griefing weapons. If they can destroy pc's, there's a few people on my 'to grief' list that I'd like to see take an extended 'fried pc' vacation :D

You know, you might be onto something... about a month ago, I was playing SL on one PC on my LAN, and I shot off a Seburo CX, and at the same instant there was an almighty bang and smoke from my server about 10 feet away. It's not worked since.

I guess you're correct, and causation is determined by investigation and diagnoses.

When you get the results of your investigation, can you post them? I want to know exactly how to diagnose where something in SL is responsible for damaging hardware/software. It'll help in my case against Francis.

It was not my software that may have been damaged.

It knocked me out of SL and damaged my software to the point it was necessary to reinstall SL before I could return to the game.

I have been blown across sims, I have been pushed in the air and not allowed to come down again (iunno how ask fred :rolleyes: ), simply because I let him and his cronies test their guns on me, and on the sim, IF noone is about, and I gotta say, none of us have EVER had soft or hardware damage.

And trust me, we get shot far, and often.

Oh and as for scripts, why not make the land no script, or as Kris just suggested to me in a private conversation, just suggest LL suspend pushobject scripts on land?

Amen. We need to have this discussion. To often, the default is "how can I keep the maximum creativity for scripters but make everyone else jump through hoops to get a simple TOS enforcement?

A simple solution involves charging an account for the use of scripts, the way textures are uploaded for $10. Or billing an account for the draw on the CPU on a sim.


And I think you should pay all the fees you idiot. What are you, an accountant? Why take the best bit of Second Life and ruin it by incessantly nagging people for more and more money just to use it? As if we don't pay enough already.

Anyways, either they need to get things undercontrol and keep things like this from happening or they should alow us to handle these problems on our own. Hmmm maybe SL needs an in-world court system? Staffed with people with a proven record of service to SL. Honestly I wouldn't want to see SL decend into a place where vigilanteism and outlaws run rampant.

Ok Kris.

Using Security teleports to move people out of sims is.................................GRIEFING
Blake used a device to repel a Griefer. You call Blake a Griefer for using such a device. Similar devices that repel people are Griefing tools. Hence Security Devices that move people out of a sim (Including the Lindens own estate tools) is griefing.
