Do you think signatures should allow images?

To be honest, as long as I can turn it off and it doesn't affect the performance of the forum, it doesn't matter.

I was responding to the other sigs with ADS in them on YOUR thread! But I guess you dont mind making a thread of winter coats and seeing replies with an AD/SIG with someone elses winter line....

There is nothing bad about Aces signature. The concern is people abusing this with large img. in their sig filling up half a page. Aces should not be singled out here as there are many posters that have images of that size and much bigger. Just because you've had a past problem with her, don't use this as a platform to try to make her look bad.

NO< Cris used your thread as an example, tyvm and I was responding to his post! Read wtf I said and the posts I was referring to! I did not say or do one thing bad about you, so save the damn drama my gawd!

Cris was using that thread as an example of an accumalation of multiple posters with sig images. He was not singling out Aces. You did.

Save the drama, I said nothing bad about her, he singled that thread out, I was replying to that thread, you want drama find it somewhere else.

The thread Cris used as an example *was* Aces's thread. Sensual mentioned the thread starter's name, which just happened to be Aces. But she responded saying that Cris's point was ill proved because others in that thread had siggies larger than Aces.

In essence, Sensual was trying to state that she did not understand Cris's point. She only used Aces name as the thread starter because it was a fact (not because it was a bad thing). It was Cris who originally linked to that thread as a "bad thing".

I'm just trying to keep the peace in a situation where I see two/three people on the same side but they just don't get what is being said.

For the record, I was actually defending Aces, for those of that you like to interpret your own thoughts to a sentence...
I felt her thread was overrided by someone elses sig that was promoting THIER winterline via THEIR sig on ACES thread... if you find that insulting or a reason to cause drama, have at it!

Actually she was saying she agreed with my point, not that she didn't understand it. Anyway, let's be clear about this I USED THE THREAD AS AN EXAMPLE, NOT SENSUAL. It isn't about any one signature - it is about multiple image signatures dominating any text in a thread. In this case, I couldn't even make out anything in the damn thread because it was dueling giant signatures.

Aces, it was nothing against you, so I am not sure why you went off on Sensual, but she wasn't criticising you, nor was I.

Well.. I did not see her saying she agreed with you in any way. BUT! I agree that neither one of you was trying to single out Aces. It was an example thread, and Aces just happened to be the starter of the thread.

Oh I understood your point. I read what Sensual said as her not seeing problem with signature images before seeing that thread. However, after seeing it, she did find it problematic to have a bunch of banner ads all in the same thread. Whather you think she agreed with me or not, I agree with her - she was reinterating my major complaint. It's not about one banner ad, or a tastefully done signature image. It's about a whole bunch of them all in one thread, which starts to get chaotic.

And I can understand what you are refering too. That is why I tried to make the point earlier that I think *most* people that are going to have those types of signatures, are not going to be the people participating in the majority of discussions on the forums. Especially the heated ones. People who like to do those types of sigs are going to be those who are more happy in the "cheery" sub-forums. And I see nothing wrong with that. But I also see that as meaning "we out here" won't have much to deal with that is any different than we already do.

Especially since I could still stick an image in any post, just above my sig.

Well, wander on over to the Classifieds forum and you will see PLENTY of signatures longer than the comments.

Please, use your heads people. Pictures can convey more information about something than text ever can. Text ads are spam to me. Annoying images hit the ad-block filter, and of course, the complete fucktartds hit the ignore list. I (fortunately) haven't hit that point yet as most of the patrons seem (emphasis on "seem" to be halfway intelligent, and openmided about MOST things here, with the sudden small exeption of this new toy.

Yes, I said toy.....for that's exactly what it is. I'm done with the craptacular attitudes exhibited by some on this board. One of these days, I'm going to draw a picture of a damn vodka bottle with a picture of the forum home page as the f'n label and name it "ABSOLUTE DHRAMA" and ship it to the lindens. You think they'd appreciate it?
