Do you think signatures should allow images?

When re-enabling the signature formatting, Jeff Linden also turned on the ability to add IMG tags to our signatures (they were ignored in the past). Already we are seeing banner ads on some signatures. Should they be allowed?

I think it is nice! :D People have the ability to turn off sigs if they want to.. and I'm sure if someone makes one really obnoxious, we will bitch at them enough that they would make it more friendly. I think it will make for some more creative sigs. So I like it. My vote is yes they should allow images... to the poll question. :)

Anything's better than the ASCII art that some are forced to compensate with in [IMG]'s absence.

I'd personally love to see Enabran's THEY .gif every time he posts right down in his cozy sig section, but that's just me.

Yes i think we should be able to have them... other MMORPGS have them .. why not SL?
People should be conciderate of the size and maybe LL could put some kind of restriction or policing ??

I just love having mine :D

Yeah. Images in signatures are great.

Until we have enormous signatures.

Let me find one to demonstrate!

Dear Pete,

Why the blue hell didn't you post that when Prok was still on the boards?

Thanks for the memories.

well it does break up that calming blue background a bit, and we all know how calming it is judging by how well behaved we are... ALL THE TIME... nobody ever acts up and we are all so sedate....

On the other hand it might eat into our asset server storage space =O

I wanted a banner ad of Second Life, an online world from Linden Lab, in my signature. Some how it felt funny. *shrug*

There I included an example too of why this can get out of hand very quickly. Turn them off, there is too much potential for abuse.

Let's all vote on what ridiculously big image from Enabran's Second Life directory will go in his signature!

(Magnum)

(Motion interface)

(siegeBot)

(SL character options tree -- its a game lol)
