I don't know how many posts I've seen in these forums and on SLB in which vendors don't bother spellchecking common words.
SEPARATE has 2 e's, 2 a's: e's on both ends, please.
Bad spelling in ads is simply unprofessional. If you flunked 5th-grade spelling, please get someone else to check your spelling BEFORE you post ads/notices to the forums.
Thank you.

Before I post anything important (usually nothing), I run it through Microsoft Word's spell checker, it only takes a second and can't hurt!

I can't believe you're picking on "separate" when so many advertisers apparently can't even spell the name of the product they're selling.
N.B. Commercial vendors - PUTTING YOUR AD IN ALL CAPS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE THE SPELLING CORRECT

Isn't "spell check" two words, not one?

P.S. Spellchecking is not a verb, it's not even a word. Please refer to your dictionary before posting threads.

Also, you spelled "Merlin" incorrectly at registration.

Spelling is overrated. They're reaching out to their core audience - a bunch of illiterates that can barely type out 'VVvvvvHOWWWLLLZZZ@!!!111eleventyonevvvVVvV'

they're = they are happy, they are sad, they're happy and sad. their = their mom, their cat, their chicken there = go there, i'm from there, your mom is from there
you're there. you're their mother. your mom is over there, and is their mother, and they're sad.

Jeez, I don't even nitpick at this stuff, and I proofread for a living. Yes, it's annoying, but you gotta figure... most of these people do well to spell their own names correctly. P2

(It's only a couple extra key strokes to get it right) I love threads like these, they show how unperfect (I know it's not a word, but it is now) everyone is.

OMG speling zomg Not everyone went to Harvard, and English here is a second language to many of us. In fact, I've noticed many of those to whom English is a second language are better than the rest of us! We should allow more slack, for this reason. Regards, -Flip

Spellchecking is VERY important in vendors, or else when someone buys from it, it will say "Error: Item 'Two Storey Hous' not found." and the money will NOT be refunded automatically.
So, it's a matter of doublechecking the ad text as well as the object name text. In my vendors they're both in the same notecard.

Meh, people buy my shit because they want it and it works - not based on my spelling or grammer.
So long as my shit works - I couldn't give a rats arse. Conversly if the shit didn't work and but my grammer and spelling was impecable - that wouldn't console an angry customer.
When the majority of IM's I get start with 'hihi I like ur *****' and 'RU the dewd that'
I see that they don't care much either.

It's useful for posting a classified or a find description, though; a person misspelling can look up the correct spelling, whereas a person using a misspelling may not be using your misspelling. But that's more a common-sense suggestion than some kind of moral imperative.
