Any help would be appreciated! it could be because of lag, but i doubt it, do u mind showing us the XML? i think i had that problem when i first started using it, it would stuck in starting because the of bad XML format

I am simply saving the file via the bottom left menu and opening it in Notepad (not editing any text), copying that text and creating the notecard. Am I missing something?

I think I realized the problem. The script that I am pasting into the notecard is too long and thats why it won't rez. Any solutions to this?

Just look at the last completed prim entry in your notecard. Then create a second one starting with the next prim. I have used 3-4 notecards for one build. Just remember the position of your rez box. And don't move your build until complete.
I am also starting to make sure that my orientation is correct in Blender if possible. That way when I rez my build is already facing the correct direction.

hi all, first let me say i amworking with blender several years now. But with SL and scripting i am really a NooB. so t seems no wonder i dont get the import into SL to work. From: someone I renamed the defenition in the rezzer script to match the notecard... How do i do that, because there is a string that say "Sample_Prims" when i open rezzer.lsl Someone can give me a link for a detailed NooB Tutorial to get my prim.blender Stuff into SL? when i create a prim with prim.blender i do like usual the "Remove Doubles". i did that with a simple square prim and it removed 25 vertices. may i do that or do it cause any problems in SL? what is with "subdivide" or "make new faces"

Other than using the SL plugin any of the functions in Blender will cause your build to not rez in SL.
Changing views won;t mess things up obviously.

If you are using the rezzer scripts from sourceforge, those scripts are old and buggy. An updated Importer is available from my shop in Brithys. The landmark is available in my picks.

These are the steps I take: BLENDER 1. Save prims. 2. Open .Blend file with notepad and copy all.
SECONDLIFE 1. Create new Notecard and paste info from .Blend file. Save. 2. Dop the Importer Hud(cube) on the ground. Also tried as Hud. 3. Drag Notecard on top of Importer then wait for rez.
I have put the notecard on top of importer, but, I don't see an object...to remain a notecard

i also gave it a try and got the script from your shop.
these are my steps i did: 1.) i only resized a simple block-prim in prim.blender 2.) i placed the builder on the ground in a public sandbox 3.) i made a new notecard and pasted the blender save in it 4.) i dragged the notecard on to the builder and touched it 5.) i waited i waited i waited...i am still waiting. 6.) i wrote that post^^
must i rename the notecard or something else?
*edit: i tried it with the former "Sample_Prims"-Notecard-Name and also nothing happened
maybe i cn meet you online this weekend to work it out?

its still not working for me and i dont know what i am doing wrong after you saved the .blend file and when you open it in a notepad, do you see an xml file? something like <primitives> <primitives> .... </primitive> </primitives> ??

i dont know if scripts are alolowed there. i tested it in 2 sandboxes i found via search ingame. its doing nothing, only can be touched. no command lines etc..
where can i find a "script allowed area" to test it there? do u got a link 4 me?

first sry for another doublepost but i think its a DP worth:
first big thx at Mobius who gave the scripts tip. i tested the builder in a script alowed area and it works (iam so excited now^^ cuz i can work with my loved blender in SL). only that the notcard is deleted out of the builder after some seconds. but i think maybe thats another feature of the sandbox i tested the builder in this time. if not i will post it in this thread by time.

ok, igot it to work in areas where scripts are allowed. great work and thx for the plugin.
but when i use it the notecard deletes itself out of the builder after 5 seconds and the object vanishes.
if i get it to grab the object in this time and save it in my inventory all is fine and i have it.
if i dont get it i need to try it again.
is that a bug or normal. can it be fixed?

what i mean is
i place the builder on floor add notecard after script completed and the prim.object growed up it takes 5 seconds first the building vanishes than the notecard out of the builder

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes!
Fresh install of Winxp Pro, fresh install of Blender, and Python 2.4. Blender loads up fine, but when I execute script I get this:

Also having the same problems, tried with python 2.4.4 and 2.4.2. 0.3.8 and 0.3.7 of the script give errors that aren't really postable (looks like binary).

i'm trying this cuz i seem to be better with 3d programs than playing with it in SL, but running Prim.Blend even after installing blender and python, the Blender can't find Python installed on my computer. don't know what the problem is, exactly, other than that. i've tryed uninstalling and reinstalling python.

You need the exact version of Python that was used in the development, namely 2.4.4
It can be downloaded free and then everything works fine.
