IMO the Deviant beds and furniture have better animations. :)

Hey, it's me again.

I just wanted to add a few things to this post:

1) Please know that this story is just a humorous commentary on a "dumb thing" that happened to me and the BF at a store.

2) In no way whatsoever did I think we were griefed or offended or anything highly negative like that. Thanks to all who IMed me, concerned I was upset. I was far from upset. I was highly amused by the incident.

3) This should in no way be considered a personal commentary on Eros or Strokerz Toys, or any of their products. I love both their store and their products, and already own several items from them including one of their amazing bed modules. I highly recommend them. Nick and Andrea there very helpful.

4) For those who asked -- I shop at the following stores, which I highly recommend if you're looking for men's clothing:

- FORM, GearShift and Desert Moon Clothiers, which can all be found in The Block sim. There are also a number of really great stores there for women's clothing, furniture and artwork (ArTiFaCtS), and other fun stuff.

- I'm also a bit partial to DE Designs for RP-type clothing. Medieval, renaissance stuff there is decent.

- FNKY makes some very cool sunglasses and baseball caps.

- drawmachine has some the coolest sports-type clothing.

- Renown and Made By Marcus make some really hot underwear. :)

- The gloves you might sometimes see me wearing in-world are from SiniStyle. If you like the post-apocalyptic look, you'll like SiniStyle.

I've probably left a few good ones out, but these immediately come to mind at the moment.

Also, my friend Ben Vanguard runs a really great SL men's fashion blog called "SL Men", which can be found at (coincidentally enough) www.slmen.com.

He's French and has much better taste in clothing than I do.

Most times. :)

:) The bible has indeed some nice things to say about sex. Jesus quote:

Mark 7:15 "There is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him."

Or, the oral version:

Matthew 15:11 "It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man."

And old Yahweh himself, on masturbation:

Job 40:14 "Then I will also confess to you, that your own right hand can save you."

I Love being One-Upped when it's This Freaking funny!! :D ROFL.

Angel.

Its a well known fact that between the ages of 20 and 56 No woman ever has sex, cyber or otherwise.

Oops! OK then, who's gonna tell my fiancee the wedding's off then?

... and I have to voice my utter disagreement too:
So, you are implying everyone between 20 and 56 are celebate .. or is it simply that all female avatars who have 'fun' in SL have to be guys?

;)

I think you can pick and mix there :)

Or, in my case, men who roleplay women themselves, have been in countless online relationships and always had supposedly female partners turn out to be male :) Not that gender would matter to me, I'm bisexual. I even prefer males playing female roles, since I can better judge their sexual fantasies and arousal curves. It's just disappointing to learn that one has been messed about for months or even years in some cases.

The logic in this statement is so convoluted Im not sure I understand it.

It sounds like you are saying that gender bender pretenders in female avs assume all other female avs are gender bender pretenders.

Thats silly -
thats like someone who is catholic assuming since they are catholic than everyone else must be.

Or Conservative...

Hhmm. How much gender could a gender bender bend, if the gender bender bending genders was a gender bender pretender?

Oh, and how would he/she/it be sure when, or whether, they were pretending?

No. What I'm saying is that a gender bender like me who met lots of other gender benders, to the point that 99.8% of all females he ever had online shenanigans with were gender benders (and we're talking about lots of shenanigans), will at some point assume that it makes sense to act under the premise that the majority of female avatars which engage not only in cybersex but are very unreserved and also interested in rougher / dirtier forms of sex might be gender benders, a lot more sense than equating female avatars with female SL users.

I could always be wrong though :) and as I pointed out earlier, it doesn't matter that much for me. On the contrary: I prefer to interact with people who are 100% sexually compatible to me (as far as virtual sex is concerned), and that happen to be gender benders.

Just a question, I'm sorry to be curt but...

How long can a thread stretch off topic before it's closed? Is it up to the moderator? Can a thread go on forever, as long as it's getting replies?

You can go either way I guess. assume they are Pretenders, or do as I do, take everyone at Avi face value unless told otherwise, but your conclusion is the most important. If the person is compatible have fun and enjoy it. That's all that matters.

I think the ResMods have a life outside of the SL forums and, as long as a thread isn't causing overt problems, they'll *probably* let it run its natural course. Then again, you never know what might happen if they get a little free time... ;)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Sounds like its mainly you.

In that the circles you run, and the people you meet and are attracted / attractive to.

I dont mean to sound overly critical but statements like yours re-enforce a negative stereotype.

Its probably closer to the truth that many actual lesbians and bi femmes avoid the scenes you describe becuase they dont want to date men pretending to be women. Thus skewing your unscientific percentage.

Omg, I'm laughing so hard....and at work too! For shame!

I may have to get the neko posse together and go hunt down your 'cat lady hooker,' though...she's giving the semi-feline a bad name. =^.^=

I'll join- NO ONE gives us nekos a bad name!

From: Ketter McAllister
However, does anybody here know if Cat Lady hookers land on their feet like real cats do when you push them off a balcony? Or is this just a myth?)

I have a neko AO that has an anim for that...if you fall, you just land elegantly instead of going arse over tit! (<---perfectly respectable British expression, that is!)

Well, you'll find more lesbians than heterosexual women in online worlds. There are two possible explanations for that phenomenon, but only one of them makes sense :)

You know many people don't tolerate the actions of gay indiviuals no matter where it is.

Now, you're in the shop that sells these items and like everyone else you're checking them out, nothing wrong with that but the difference was it's two people of the same sex and many people don't like to see that.

Not so much being in this shop but for the most part if you put yourself and your sexual prefrence out on display then you better be prepared to handle whatever comments come your way.

This reality, this is the way it is. It may or may not be right but it's the way it is in our society.

Its not as simple as you describe.

There a many lesbians who live in smaller towns where they have difficulty meeting women. As well as the normal curious women. And since Second Life is more accepting many people come out of the closet in a virtual sense.

Many of these women are less supportive of the lesbian community being co-opted by gender bender pretenders than people seem to think.

The same is true for homosexual men. But it's odd... Star Wars Galaxies, a MMORPG used by many for sexual ropleplay, was full of lesbians, yet I never met a gay. Sociolotron, an adult MMORPG where a long-time player knew nearly all participants after a while, had 5 gays and hundreds of lesbians, although the game system supported gay sex. I can't say how the numbers are in SL, but I know that you can open a random female profile with a high chance of reading "lesbian" or "bisexual", while gays seem to be a small minority.
