Re: Colors of silks... keep in mind that this is from the books, not the SL version of Gor.

White = sex
Red = dancing

but most of the time, slave girls ran around in shorty tunics, not the silks we see in SL. Don't quote me on the colors; I haven't read the books in ages. They really are terribly written and seriously repetitive.

Re: SL Gor... I tried it once, ages ago. I offered to make the guys that were standing around the place a couple of sandwiches and some coffees. They were NOT amused. I figured it was slavelike... :p

*he grin as he think the many ways he used in the past to make slave talk if they were not cooperative with him*

I was wondering if anyone was or know of the city of Peril?

This forum really isn't the place to develop a Gorean roleplay storyline, but over in the SL Gor forums they have STORYLINES

http://www.goreanforums.com/viewforum.php?f=222

which sounds like what you were looking for.

Azariel, run while you have a chance! Get over to the Gorean Forums where you'll be safe!

I think Love thinks that the tavern burnt down because someone tried to make Jiffy Pop in the microwave.

Do you really want to follow up on that?

The Great Pep, Lord of High Pedantry strides into Azariel's pathetic fantasy and demands service of him in terms more grammatical, insisting on accurate spelling or abject silence!

Pep (which could be arranged by slicing out Azariel's tongue and then roasting it over a broad fire made from the 451 volumes of his now-remaindered autobiography)

sorry this is a bit of topic but i couldn't start anew tread to post it in.
I was wandering if anyone was or know of the city of Peril?

My furry armies leveled this city long ago. Didn't you see all the ghosts with sporks sticking out of them?

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I have been getting PMs every few days from people who wonder how I'm doing or who want more information about Gor.

The first thing to say is that if you have questions about Gor you should go to the SL Gorean Forums

http://goreanforums.com/

The people there are friendly and helpful and you will probably find a forum devoted to exactly the thing you're interested in. I am one of the friendly and helpful people there, by the way.

The second thing is that I am always happy to get PMs here or in the Gorums. You can contact me inworld too. I like showing people around and helping them get their footing in Gor. Just this morning I was talking to a guy who tried it but didn't like it, and that's fine too. It absolutely is not for everyone.

The last thing is that I am having a blast in Gor. I've met a lot of people and so far only one jerk. He was a big jerk, I admit, but he was the only one. One of the biggest surprises: everybody READS. It makes sense since it's based on a series of books.

Another surprise: most people have a sense of humor about what they're doing. I've met some of the nicest, smartest people there.

Anyway, it's hard to understand sometimes why I was so afraid. I DO know why I was afraid of Gor, but I'm not anymore. I am cautious. it's important to not be stupid. But I am having a lot of fun.
