I think I'm still the op of the tamest, most boring Gorean thread in the forums. I tried to avoid using the G word tho.

Can you give a link to it? I looked at the threads you started and don't find it.

The question is fine. Some peeps are extremely opposed to the idea but many are not. So it does lead to some heated arguements.

I get a kick out imaginng what reactions Goreans would get in Hyde Park, London or strolling in Yorkville in Toronto.
My Dad's heyday was the sixties and I think he had a "thing" for a Hare Krishna girl so he would often make my Mum (a "child" of the sixties) smile when he talked about them. Sorry, rambling, BUT I see Goreans as Hare Krihnas with "attitude".
I was slaved for 3 days yonks ago but it did nothing for me. Just made me a bit sore,

Hare Krishnas with attitude-
Attitude in spades but it is not from unfounded arrogance, more of an assurance of one's place in the world, thus generally unshakable (non-Sl Gor, at least). I don't understand the Hare Krishna reference in context with Goreans.

Oh well, you know the kinda flowy clothes Hare's are associated with. Then if you meet Goreans in SL malls (and I have) they always remind me of a cult wandering through Marshall Fields or Bloomingdales.

It's even teh same with some girl who's collared - I can "see" teh couple, girl at end of leash (or man) in Gree Park in London or going on a tube. Or imagine the bloke yelling "Taxi!" and clambering in with his collared girl.

The clothes really would so be awesome! Some of the FW things are nice though some are just too bulky- makes one understand why the FW in the books hated the girls so much!

I was a kajira to a really decent bloke in his seventies in real. But his wife was a right old biddy. Every time I typed anything she told me to be quiet and show respect. Sex wasnt an issue coz he didnt really have it in him. I've always enjoyed the ritual parts of sex (and havent we all?) but there was a touch too much ritual and deflowering for me.

My suggestion is to go in dressed like fruit, or an entire fruit basket if you have any friends. Turns out Goreans don't like fruit, even though they insist that their women be slim.

So you may be tossed out of the sim but you'll have the best time trying!

Umm this is like really stupid.

Think of it as Theater of the Absurd.

Not that I'm aware of... but then, such things might operate under my radar. ...

I attended a "keeping safe" class taught at a school for lady's companions. Victorian steampunk d/s roleplay.

So they're there, Guv. :)

That little "d/s" hid from me until I read this the third time. I couldn't make heads or tails of it until then!

The more accurate upper case "D" in disguise as a lower case "d" tends to camouflage it.

Not all women like sharing...

Why were you typing to him in RL? Or did I miss something.

You could tell them by their purple stained fingers and an unusal addiction to sniffing white-out.

Okay, so how do I find out about pink frosted cupcakes then?

Seriously, even if it's bad, there ought to be some sort of easily accessible guide, right? Pitfalls to avoid, stuff like that?

I have some notecards if you are interested im me in world, they are very educational.

Ah! That takes me back to the golden days of the Kings Road in the 70s!

Pep (Except they look a bit too clean-cut, like actors or models, not the real thing)

My Dad had a record - as in a vinyl disc - in which one of the tracks is a comic explaining the Hare Krishna song.

It's a Hindu pre-nup.

The guy sings: "Hare Krishna?, Hare Krishna?"
meaning : "Are you a (hare) Virgin (krishna)?

And she sings: "Krishna krishna"
meaning : "Absolutely. Very much so"

And he sings: "Hare hare????"

about Peril
03-10-2009 23:42
sorry this is a bit of topic but i couldn't start anew tread to post it in.
I was wandering if anyone was or know of the city of Peril?
I use to run the tavern there about 2 year ago and heard peril went off after awhile

So im coming back soon to sl Gor (just waiting for my high speed connection that will be install within a week)
I think I may use my time off and the fate of Peril as a starting tread for rp when I come back:

Azariel Beaumont from the long lost city of Peril that was erradicate by an unknown foe that attacked during the night killing most in there sleep and burning every houses to the ground before anyone could escape.

Azariel woke up not knowing how or why he survived on an abandone ship lost in the seas.He sails the seas from what seems ages coasting small island from time to time he at last reach a populated port ...
to be continued in sl ;)

for those who like the idea why not pass the idea around it could spawn great rp around gor
thinking to come back at Avian
