Not sure why I'm even bothering replying to your senseless rant, edy, but it's a SLow day...
1. Nobody promised you success, in real life or in SL. If you thought they did, you heard wrong. 2. SL is a harder place to be financially successful than real life, and this has never been a secret. Or did you believe that guy who wrote that book "How I Made Millions with Virtual Cash"? 3. $50L per day? I can do that in a couple of hours of playing Trivia at Calla's, while having a pleasant conversation with the other campers. Making much beyond that, though, calls for some skill, creativity, a lot of hard work, and often the outlay of some significant start-up cash. 4. Shops and clubs aren't automatically successful. You need to have a product or service that's different, or better, or cheaper, than the thousands of shops competing with you. You need to advertise. You need to get singled out by the SL media...if you're selling clothes, getting a mention in one of the fashion blogs is a big plus. 5. Selling your body isn't automatically successful, either. You need to make a big investment in your avatar's appearance, and you need to train yourself to be able to spin erotic fantasy at the drop of a..er, hat. Even then, there are a lot of dancers, escorts, and plain old freelancers out there to compete with. So...stop whining. Either quit trying to get rich quick, and simply enjoy the game, or shut up, buckle down, and come up with some product or service or concept that nobody has ever thought of, and everybody HAS to have. In this respect, SL works just like the real world...with one big advantage: you can't starve in SL. |

and like I said b4...its a game, not real life O.o i dont fuckin know im not working LL. fucking chop and sell trees for wood to build? if your talking a real world like the one we live in then ya...why cant we chop and sell trees for wood for builders ( i havnt met ONE person that can summon a chunk of wood outta thin air or with no materials)..mine ore and sell that out of the ground to synthisis in to metals for building, get a real job other then selling your own products, go kill some deer for some meat and sell it...dont sims ever get hungry?? Id love to start a toilet selling business but since the sims dont take pisses and dont poo so cant do that..maybe I could make phones...or wait theres IM..cant do that. I know Ill run for office..wait there is no gov't structure hmmmm running outta ideas here, maybe Ill apply to become a fire man..is there electrical fires in SL?? ill be a electrical engineer! ya...do we even have to wire our houses?? dont think so scratch that idea. im sure you get my point...I dont see any of these ideas and alot of them money making ideas in SL so dont sit there and say what other ways are there to make money in this world??? Let's see... I have summoned a pile of wood from thin air. I casually mentioned that I could use some wood for my fireplace and two days later I had a cord of wood piled in my side yard. Of course it does help to be cute. And many people in SL have made food, toilets and phones and made money with them. And as to metals and wood in SL. while not really mining or logging many people do sell metal and wood textures and make money doing so. The only limiting factor in SL is your imagination, if you are not succeeding in your endevors, look to yourself before seeking outside causes. _____________________
