Dude thats exatcly what Im saying...is there any other way to make cash other then selling yourself or something thats already made and perfected?? gave up on building myself eventho ppl say they liked my crap and found a few things that aren`t offerd ingame yet but wich should hopefully get quite a few ppl/communities interrested think outside the box and a universe of possabilities opens up _____________________

You said it's a poor economy/market if those are the only options. Thus, you imply that there ought to be other ways to make money. What other ways are you referring to? so your saying your have to pay LL $1000's of real cash to start to making cash in SL or even have a steady flow of income? Or learn in a sandbox then build a few good things and rent some cheap vendor space. um, what else is there? Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious here, but if you aren't selling your services and you aren't selling something you made, then what exactly are you expecting to be paid for? Just like RL... And it is perfectly fair, you have as much chance to make L$ in this world as anyone else. You are limited only by your own talents and imagination. Stop putting the balme for your failure to succeed on SL and on the actions of others and look at your own actions. As in RL you need to do some research and work to find what you are good at and what you can do that others will find enough value in to pay you for it. _____________________

Wait, is the OP a premium account? If not, then where would the tier for this groups land come from? Those that would already have the tier would only need to buy their plot of land in order to do some building and selling. And they'd be getting 300L a week to boot.
Sure, deeding tier to group does mean a nice 10% more you can get.. but that would only be worth it if you get land in the same sim, otherwise the prim limit wouldn't increase at all. I'm not making a lot.. but my addic.. I mean hobby is supporting itself and it only took me two years to get to that point! _____________________

I think SL is shit is unfair we all have to waste a lot to do something and in most cases we do 0 yes after I wasted 3000, no nice jobs lot of sex , hippie shit that doesn't work and lot of no good companies that use some piramid system. After trying to run 3 shops 1 at a time I realised sl sucks offers nothing free all free is useless as we can't sell in sanboxes so we have to waste in uploads , and making pictured boxes as all is low in prims and as we know we all want money but don't want to waste money so SL is failing. As last try b4 i kill myself i do I tryed to make a group where we all pay to join and the money goes for renting land for all member of group so they can sell after they build without wasting lindens in rents and uploads to each product. Please help me to get my goal im very unhappy. Group: Build and Sell Yard Edy Woodget OK...bye then....This post is ridiculous. What exactly are you bitching about? That you don't know how to market your products and therefore can't make money? That you don't make good enough products so people don't want to buy them? The fault is clearly yours, not SL's... and what exactly is your *goal*? To get rich off of SL? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha |

Ohh I get it. It makes sense if you think about how he says SL is a game. IMO you can look at it as a game but there aren't pre-programmed business ventures you can take on at no expense or things like that. So.. maybe look into commission vendors like Nifty Fifty... you can help others sell their products. But you should at least make some wise investments in land and classifieds. You need a medium where people can find and purchase the product, and you need a way to reach out and get them to notice. Enjoy...

This part of SL works just like RL. You build a product. Next option is that you buy or rent a store to sell your products from. If you don't or can't buy or rent a store, you can always stand on a street corner and try to sell to people passing by. Maybe where you live, if you have a product does someone provide you a free store to sell from. |

Id love to start a toilet selling business but since the sims dont take pisses and dont poo so cant do that..maybe I could make phones...or wait theres IM..cant do that. I know Ill run for office..wait there is no gov't structure hmmmm running outta ideas here, maybe Ill apply to become a fire man..is there electrical fires in SL?? ill be a electrical engineer! ya...do we even have to wire our houses?? dont think so scratch that idea. im sure you get my point...I dont see any of these ideas and alot of them money making ideas in SL so dont sit there and say what other ways are there to make money in this world??? |

I THINK I'm starting to see the complaint....
The OP wants to use a sandbox to 'build' something then would like to be able to 'sell' the something to others in the sandbox?? I vaguely remember another post in another section where someone wanted to buy land to make their own sandbox and wanted others to pay to help buy it in exchange for being allowed to buy and sell at the same place... I guess the question I might have is... if you build something in your personal sandbox, and are only selling it in your personal sandbox... how will anyone other than those in your limited group find your products to buy them? _____________________
