Rhianna - your "Tied Jeans" outfit shows a picture with the pants meeting the shirt. I've tried the item with both male and female shapes and the pants and shirt do not meet. There is an inch of skin exposed. I mention as many prefer the ad to show the gab, if there is one. Great looking outfit, by the way. I looked on OnRez, so no report about store.
Edit: Ok, shirt and pants match up now, thanks ![]() _____________________

Thank you Soji for that, the outfit does meet in the middle. I'm wearing it now. I'll get that sorted and sent out again.

Hi Everyone I am moving my Rufeena Home Store to the sim of Yemple so am haveing to do all my ads over and marketing. That also means I have to go into all my other outlet stores vendors and delete old LM's and put the new ones in. I thought I would just add to this thread in case anyone decides to move thier store to not forget that broken LM's can actually cause you to loose alot of sales. It is alot of work to move but dont forget that is one thing that is very important to do.

Ok, permissions - many like being able to set up outfits, mix and match, or well whatever the reason, many like copy/mod/no transfer.
Just a heads up that some will not buy unless it is copy/mod/no transfer, while others like transfer. Oh, and if there is something like a skirt to mod, they prefer having the ability to have a copy in reserve in case they mess up setting it up on themselves. Again, just a heads up on SL shopping. Heh, I just matched the Red Brocade shirt with the tied jeans pants and I like it. So, one example of above mix and match. Of course being no copy, I can't move things around to more than one folder (shirt in a tops folder, another copy in the complete outfit folder, and maybe another copy in a different complete outfit folder, with say the jeans) Oh! Another tip form shopper point of view - many also like having ad copy in folder of outfit so they can look at what the outfit is without having to switch clothing. I've heard that one more than once. _____________________

Ok so what does everyone else say, i mean i prefer Transfer and Mods so i can move it around too my other account but what about everyone else. How do you like your pers too be? There is a script out there that has a pop up appear asking if you wish to buy transfer, or no transfer. It is in the huge never ending thread, I mean comment about it. LittleMe Jewell was the one that mentioned it, might or might not be able to shed light. Point, though, is that you can sell both options (priced same or differently), so you can get both type of customers. _____________________

Ok so what does everyone else say, i mean i prefer Transfer and Mods so i can move it around too my other account but what about everyone else. How do you like your pers too be? I must admit I only buy copy clothes, I like to have a copy when need to mod them to fit properly. If you can't copy it's easy to totally mess up the outfit. I don't transfer between accounts as they have very different styles and would prefer to be able to sort my own outfits out than worry about being able to give to others. _____________________

I too am LOVING this thrad. I would love some help and advice too
![]() First off how does one put a picture i their signature?? I have a logo but I have no idea how to get it in to work in here ![]() Secondly is anyone wants to pop over to my store and give me some advice I would appreciate it ![]() Thirdly i was wondring if one of you clothing designers might like to team up with me on creating a freebie that I have in my head?? (And maybe other things as time goes along) I have no real photoshop skills, or at least not enough to create what I am wanting to. The freebie could have the dual advatage ofbeing i both stores with both LMs. If it goes well I could look at using your clothes in in my ads (and you using my accessories) with a notecard and LM to your store. _____________________

I like the idea of the script Soji, it sounds a great idea.
Eclectic - If you go into user cp and go into options, first make sure signatures is shown is on. Then i used tinypic too upload a image to here as my signature. http://tinypic.com/?t=postupload Then click on Edit Signature and type in the code that tiny pic gives you, IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards. Should work after that. _____________________

Imnot - I just visited your store....ended up right in front of it....it's as cute as a bug on a rug! Love your glasses.....and yes, definitely make your pics larger...almost had to use those glasses
![]() Since you don't offer competing products.....what if you teamed up with someone in this thread....placed some of your glasses in their store....and they placed some of their clothing in your store....do you have enough prims for that....until you get it full with your own designs? |

I like to play with my clothes and so I always want copy/mod and if that's how I want them then that's how I'm going to sell them too
![]() I do have a gift vendor up in my shop now, so that if people want to buy a no copy/transfer item as a gift they can. I have a note with that, if someone gets a gift and wants to exchange it back for a copy/mod no transfer I'm happy to do that for them. The gift vendor was an idea I got from another thread here and implemented. I was also going to do the picture in the package thing and forgot about that so am glad for the reminder hehe _____________________

So far I have reviewed four stores of which I have written up three- I am blogging it also, but here is what I have so far:
So far I have visited Etcetera Furniture Accessories and Rose Encrusted Fantasy and Darkly Cute. Etcetera located at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dream%20City/108/157/24 is owned by Mickey Vandeverre. It is a hypercool and super modern locations with vibrant colors - the prim load isn't heavy and the prices are awesome. The store has great presentation - There is good flow to the store and it was easy to navigate. Good feel to the place- slick, and great selections. Rose Encrusted Fantasy: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dream%20City/108/157/24 Rhianna Larkham is the proprietress of Rose Encrusted Fantasy. The location is very clean and modern with glitzy brushed metal highlights. It is an effective showcase for her attractive modern styles- The store and the clothes are a perfect match - I liked the Monkey Mall store too though it was very low key and I did not find it easily. For the Monkey Mall store, I would ask if there was some signage options that could be set downstairs- directing prospective customers to her locale. Next I looked at Imnotgoing Sideways - Darkly Cute: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Ferguson/54/237/94 The store is absolutely adorable! Like a teapot or a ceramic container- the whole mall had such a sweet and wholesome appearance makes one wonder where the darkness comes in ![]() I loved the little glasses and the poses on the wall were well displayed. The merchandise is definitely niche- market though. As such I wold try to get in some place that features similar if only for recognition- the glasses would be very at home in Caledon, I think- Also, it looks a tad sparse - a little unfinished. Perhaps more merchandise inside would complete the look and I would like to see something additional on the outside that draws attention. Overall, a welcoming place but to keep the buyer needs a little more punch through merchandising - the marketing we're working on- _____________________

The last place I reviewed tonight was Kesseret Steeplechase's Kess Kreations: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Amira/42/84/22
I love the location- it was like strolling thru some elegant boutique area and encountering her store. Inside is a little barren which can detract from the merchandise since it looks unfinished in places. But Kes explained she is having a decorator come in and was, in fact adding some decorative touches when I arrived. I found the displays easy to negotiate - easy rez, of a good size and informative. I would have liked to have seen some rezzed items, but I realize, prim count is a concern as it is for many of us. In conclusion, Kes' store is inviting- it uses a minimalist appeal to get its understated elegance across to the shopper. I would add a little in the way of decor for impact- I think the store will look wonderful when complete. The colors were restful and understated. I have become a fan of LM givers- not the in your face sort- but the ones that are there and you choose to take or not- I think Kes should add an LM giver - Kes - let me know if you need one ![]() _____________________

Mickey, I went to your store but I was also patching a couple servers for work and Rhianna I went to your store too so I will be dropping notecards on you guys real soon.
Amaranthim: I do give out an LM with the store policy. I didn't put an LM in each of the demo boxes because I hate having 1000 LMs to a place. Most everyone picks up the dollarbies- so they get an LM that way or they do the 'speak to the kitteh and get free stuff' which gives an LM. It was a real pleasure talking to you and I am so glad I made an awesome friend in you. xoxoxoxox you are the best! ---- I totally cannot see signatures so just drop me a notecard with LM in it and that way I can do them this weekend or so. ---- OH: Tip for people who have moved. Just 20 minutes ago the person who bought the land my store sat on for a year IMed me and was like "I get like 5-10 visitors a day looking for jewelry". I said "Yeah they are looking for my store". I offered him one of my affiliate packs and he put them up. So not only do I get all traffic at my sim but also I have an affiliate making money and getting me money off my old location. I do offer an affiliate program but I think that's something you have to invest in doing because it's a lot of work, especially with the number I have. That's my tip, not everyone has someone willing to put affiliate vendors in your old location though. |

Kes- out of curiosity- you cannot see the siggys because you have it turned off on purpose? Or did you know you could choose to seethem?
Rhianna, Mickey and Kes- it was great meeting you all tonight - I have addedkes to my blog roll - and had added Rha before - any one else, feel free to im me here or inworld- I am sure we can make this work for us if we try ![]() Remember too the thing about picks - if you have picks spaces to spare, lets start including the ones of the folks we visit whose stores we really like- and they can do the same for us if they like our places ![]() _____________________

I have been lurking and watching this thread since it started. I have loved the ideas and the help everyone has given each other. I have just opened up a store at the moment i have furniture but I am branching out to clothes just a few tshirts are on offer at the moment. I would love if someone could critique my shop as well. I am in the mood to change it all around at the moment after hearing all the stories in here.
Oh and if anyone has started that group up that was being thrown around i would love to join in. So thank you again everyone for a very enlightened thread! |

Now I do not know wether this one is ment for clothing only, or starting commerces only, but if not, feel free to hop by my place and comment! Not to buy stuff, but to look for improvements.
Because I built the place, I am to biased to see its flaws, and I know there are changes to be made. Some I do have in my mind, but I rather have other peoples views on it. Thanks a lot ![]() _____________________

Amaranthim -
I started in your store. At first glance looking at what is around the store I expected japanese style items : the gate, wind chime, the tree and the screen all sort of said this to me Howver I didnt really know what or where I was TPing into. Your sign cannot easily be read above your store rom the TP point. As i entered the store as i was rezing I got more of an egyptian, arabic feel, which i suspect was more what you were going for?? Your clothes themselves are not to my style at all and more than I would personally pay for a new creator I wasnt sure about. However I think the designs would appeal to the people you are aiming for. I love that you have used many poses on your board to show your items from all angles. I would love to see the display board have more flow??? so that they looklike they go together?? if that makes sense?? I found all the different backgrounds distracting. I think the building you have is really funky ![]() _____________________

To give a try at this withouth too much effort you can setup an affiliate program with Apez ... i did it in the past and i hade some sales ... not much but maybe my products weren't so good .. the good things is that doesen't cost anything t start-up and after that only a small commission is due |
