Great! I would go back and add the tags around the link and your slurl so they work when you click them rather than having to cut an paste.
Thanks- I will do that!

Amaranthim - Visted your store today, very well laid out for me, easy too move around. Now I'm not sure if this was my PC or SL or the textures in your boxes. Some of them did not seem too load up, how big are they if you don't mind me asking? I also noticed that your textures have quite a few images of your outfits on them, the problem i seem too found was that you have that many they seem too be squashed together and i can't see the designs very good. I'm having too really zoom in on a few. Other than that though your store seems quite good ![]() Thank you for checking me out- the boxes are relatively large- I don't have the measurements with me- I will check tonight. Of course they do rez for me- so I am going to have to wait for others on input on that- SL being SL and comps all so different. You did got to the main store right? I find there is less lag there than the others- Maybe a few others here can stop by and check the textures on my boxes? I would appreciate it- thank for all the input. _____________________

I thought the same thing, the little diamonds around the petals of the rose, and that was what I was going to offer to do, but never did, after seeing the reaction to the first offer of a logo heh
strange how we all see things so differently, what one of us might like, another will dislike, I guess it is those differences that keep us going (take my logo(s) for instance.. I used to be known as RRD, that was it just RRD, (short for RhaRha Designs) I chatted with a friend who gave me some really good tips about my logo and brand name, no matter how much I like it, I have to think about those I want to come to my place and buy my stuff, it HAS to appeal to them... so we brainstormed and came up with Rha! and I created the first logo, which has evolved over time I like it, it is not too fancy, nor too plain and I like how it works on my ads ![]() Here are the logos I have used and currently use <snip> edited to remove pics, for some reason forums saying I have too many images in a previous post and will not let me post a new reply GRRR _____________________

If anyone has product catalogs, videos, etc. I think it would be a good idea to post the links in the slex and onrez ads also.
EDIT: As long as it doesn't clutter the ad too much _____________________

I would appreciate it- thank for all the input. it seems to rez fairly ok for me (my PC is slow rezzing anywhere, I would mark it about average) I would change the easel that you have in the doorway, from newest release to the join the ground thing, that you have on the ground, you want to get folks into your group so you can let them know when you have new stuff (I love the subscribe o matic!) also, one newest release is about all you should have, cuz once one is newest the other is no longer the newest (or just rename them to new releases) on a side note, to rhianna... the too you keep putting in your posts should be spelled to (one O) the too means also ![]() (please do not be offended by the spelling help, I am a terrible speller and love it when folks help me) I thought it might be typos until I saw it consistently ![]() Damien good idea, if a person has video and such to put the link in there, I only did a couple then lost interest LOL (I do need to update all my listings though to put in the blog info... ugh) _____________________

No offence taken Rhaorth, i openly admit i'm a crappy speller, i have to spell check everthing and i'm not always sure which goes where lol.
I'm taking classes in September too help me, should help with the job front too. Might have just been me then Amaranthin, SL seems to be nasty with me at the moment, i'm having constant crashes *sigh* more often than not. Oh Rhaorth, i'd love the idea if you could have a go at doing little diamonds around the Rose, me myself i would not even know where too start lol with something like that. Still learning alot about Photoshop. I love your new logo by the way, very sexy *grin* _____________________

Re the video- put the link where? In the adverts as they appear in OnRez and SlExchange? That is where I was thinking. That way they have the option to view it along with links to your other products. _____________________

Sometime in the next few days, I will take a wander through everyone's store and provide some feedback -- purely from a consumer standpoint.

Amaranthim....you have lovely designs....I visited your store, and it's very nice. I had to really zoom in to see your beautiful gowns.....the photos were so tiny......so if you can make the displays larger.....your windows in the shop are lovely.....but they are consuming half of your wall/display space. When you have time.....if you could offer the same gown in different colors.....I loved some of the gown designs, but redheads can't wear some colors. Your descriptions at SLex are very enticing! Everything is beautiful.
Rhianna's landmark is up in the search....still room for more keywords.....and if you think the Header needs to be tweaked, let me know.....I'm reviewing a Sticky thread on keywords and how those header words get ranked....very interesting. I'm sizing up her display boards.....so her fashions aren't up just yet. I will get to the other shops, eventually.....what a treat to see everyone's creations! |

Talon Faire:
Talon Faire the first thing I notice is the nice atmosphere, nice music and wow, the rainbow by the door is great, and wind chimes! Nice ![]() The store is attractive, airy, well laid out and not cluttered. Since I am kind of a slow rezzer, I tend to go somewhere, then go make a cup of coffee or let the dog out or something for a few minutes...and there was a lovely bench just inside the door to park my derriere on while I did that. I did not think your boards loaded any slower than most places, like you said that is mostly a system thing. New releases central and easy to find, your freebie is really nice (omg I gotta work on mine). Your group join and landmark giver are easy to see, and (thankfully) don't jump out and smack me in the face. I'm not going to critique anyone's goods because I don't believe I'm good enough to do that yet, but as far as the store itself, I found it comfortable and welcoming ![]() _____________________

I wonder if I can butt in a bit and ask for the same critique Rhianna is getting without starting my own thread. My signboard and locations are in my sigline. I'm happy to say I've made my 2nd SLX sale last night, so I'm pleased with that. (^_^) The first thing I noticed when I TPed in, wasn't your store. I was looking down the hill. I think you still need to move the TP point closer to your door... and maybe rearrange the landing point so it's clear what direction I should go. next... and the main thing i noticed... make your vending boxes BIGGER! Unless you want people to think they need glasses and buy some from you ![]() |

OK- Gosh I am so loving this thread
![]() Little- I would love your input- after all, consumers are who we are trying to reach and we know you are a legendary shopper ![]() Nimue- thanks- and I must give Damien credit- he helped me with my Youtube vid- he is great at that stuff- Thank you again Damien. Mickey-Thank you for taking the time to review my store. I had not noticed the signs were too small- i shall make them larger. Re the windows- once I have more merchandise I will certainly utilize the space- I do want to keep the openness of the store so yes some widows may have to go. On the colors- I actually have the Blue Sapphire one in red and in black - I will get those put out and see about some others- And you just gave me a great theme idea- marketing directed at skin tones like make up companies do. Ralektra- thank you for taking time to review my store. Glad you enjoyed your visit as well as well as the merchandise- I am glad you liked the the gown. When you get a chance stroll the gardens- some beautiful gardening has been done there by very talented creators - FD Spark and Cel Edman contributed great art in the form of flowers and the lovely rock waterfall in the gardens. This is really awesome what we are doing here people- keep it up. I will make rounds tonight too. _____________________

I just want to say that i am so impressed with this feedback and encouragement that is going on here. I often get frustrated at the negative tone of posts and this whole interactions ROCKS! I will take a stroll around some of your stores as well. Id ask you to come give me feedback on mine...however i break alot of the rules intentionally lol. Just to give you guys some ideas...I only have one long back wall and a floor in my store, no side or front walls or a ceiling. I did this for a few reasons - it saves on prims and long ago i noticed that the stores i liked the best were open and had no ceiling. Mine kinda follows the shape of my land which is not rectangle. I also no longer have a sign with my store name anywhere and rarely use my logo. While i agree that brand identity is crucial, i became aware that it was again prims i could delete. I use stained glass on the outside walls that i sell inside in small versions to make it look interesting from that side of the store.
My store is also not that well organized...LOL I have things everywhere but it seems to work great. And you even have to walk over things on the floor since so many of my items lay flat for display. I dont believe in using multi vendors for furnishings. They take too long to rez and i think people want to see the actual item. But if any of you want to drop by and let me know what you think...im open. However, dont be offended if i dont change...hehe. But you guys are reminding me of some things i have not gotten around to doing and i do appreciate that as well.....Thanks! _____________________

These things definitely help but I don't see any real emphasis here on MARKETING. You could have wonderful presentation but if no one can find you and no one knows you're around, you've got even less chance of making any sales.

Count me in for meetings inworld (If i can make them) for marketing or other ideas, just kind of a way for designers to hook up and chat about junk. I can't join a group inworld but can donate the use of 'subscribe-o-matic style' signup and kiosk thingy to send notices to members about meetings.
I cannot see most of the slurls in signatures ![]() Also blogroll swap? Just IM me inworld as well for that I'll blogroll swap ya. I'm curious how my store looks from a customer's point of view as well now, if you please: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Amira/40/84/21 PS: Amaranthim Talon: more cute kitty stuff is IN DEMAND. ![]() |
