Advice on Sales!!

On the advice of others in this thread, I am in the process of swapping my blog from Blogger to WordPress. Bee, my sl partner and other half of my brain, is my webmaster, and he is doing great things with the wordpress one. It does seem to have a lot more options, and we have server space where we can host it ourselves, also.


You know, A week ago, when I posted for the first time in this thread...I was about ready to give up designing. Now look at me. It's all y'all's fault! Thanks guys!

If you're asking about the freebie groups, there are several out there. I personally joined "Fabulously Free."

It was suggested in an earlier post that posting in more than one of the free groups at the same time can cause a LOT of traffic (or something to that effect) and maybe start with one.

I chose Fabulously Free because you just join the group (tells how on their site) and then you just post your own notices. I've done it twice now and both have netted a good amount of freebie shoppers (although I changed today's freebie to a dollarbie. As Rha said...1L is 1L I didn't have in my pocket before. Also resulted in a few sales from the freebie shoppers.

don't know if timezones make a difference or not as for when you post in the classifieds

no opinion on the price of the dresses, because I have decided to let the market decide for me, if I price something and find it is not moving much, I will drop the price till I find a happy medium. (any product be it SL or RL is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it)

you put out whatever you wish as freebies, if someone likes it they will take it, a mix of item is nice

Well I did the weekend challenge. I made soemthing i wouldnt normally. For me I went for a style Im not great with cos it isnt soemthing I wear and i created the gothic cross.

Im not sure im 100% happy with it. But i do like the feel of it so far

One of my new renters and I got chatting tonight and she said she loves to bounce around ideas, so I told her about this thread the group and all, she joined the group and will hopefully read through this thread (or at least go see the merchant page and blog hehe)

Guys, is htere a way to send a mass group invite with out tediously typing each one into the person chooser, selecting and then sending them? I have a huge list of peeps i want to throw an invite out their way and it would kill me to go the one step at a time route. TIA.

Eclectic i love the cross, so detailed and the little stone in the middle is so cute.

I also made myself a blog finally lol, not done much to it yet as i'm not great at anything web like, still needs tweaking some and i need to create a outfit for new release soon too lol.

By the way the cross is a good example of tiny primes we were discussing earlier. The nacklace itself is very thing. This uses the torus with both the X and Y hole sizes shrunk as wel as profile cut and hollow utilised.

Tiny prims are fun (until you lose some in your house hehe).

AnywayI though i would give a bit of an explaination on how to get the stran so thin to help anyone who is thinking about doing some work ith tiny prims.

Guys the Surprise Sale is being HUGE success! There have been multiple sales and while in the amount of actual Lindens it isn't major bux- it certainly is encouraging to have that many people come in. There has been a couple sales too of regularly priced items- but the biggest push right now is to get seen!

Now, regarding my Surprise Sale - I am only doing it for tonight- and will plan on springing another next weekend. I chose five gowns at random and marked them down to $50 Linden - is beyond cheap in the grand scheme and it is not a Dollarbie

Oh, btw - I was wrong- I haven't gotten a Designer Tag for FreeStyle after all - It was FabFree that had given me the Designer Tag - I did re- request it from the group owner Creamy Cooljoke- so I hope she will get to it. Meantime if any of you do have that tag and would be so kind as to announce my Surprise Sale at the Terminus Main Store for Talon Faire- I would be soooo grateful - Kesserat offered yesterday and I said I had the tag- but I was wrong . so- TIA peeps.

Could it be that different than linking anything at all?
Couldn't u just make them a little bigger so u can see the sucker, move them into each other than select with a box around them and chose tools link, then shrink the whole thing?

I am just guessing since I have never done anything with tinies but i imagine it is similar to bigger ones..

And guys- especially u scripty types- anyway I can invite a bizzilion peeps to my group in one fell swoop rather than monotonously adding one by one to the person chooser?

I don't think's it's just that either though Amar. I think you have to position them around your neck, head etc so that they fit perfectly. I know there is the looprez script out there that can do it but not sure how?

What I was referring to was the chain for the necklace. I have never made a "smooth" one piece chain. Instead I use links (which I like for more intricate pieces) but for some more casual items, I would like to use the type of "chain" that is on E's necklace.

I plan to take a Master Jeweler's course after I complete the Gimp course.

Looprez is great (and fast and easy) for say a pearl necklace or something that is one tiny prim repeated. But I'm not sure it can do a type of necklace that uses varying sizes and textures of prims. Could be wrong on that, but the class I took on it made a pearl choker and that is what I deduced from it.

Ah ok then, maybe you could tell me about the Master Jewellers class when they start Czari, i'd be interested too attend
