No matter how low I price my clothes at no one seems to be buying them still. My accessories still sell well so I have no idea, guess people prefer buying from better known designers?? I dont have a huge iinventory of clothes but the stuff I do have is well made I think and well everyone who has tried them loves them. Sometimes I have no idea, oh well thank god I love creating and I REALLY love wearing my own stuff so I doubt I will be stopping any time soon. Honey when my ISP speeds my internet back up this afternoon Ill have a freebie for you ![]() _____________________

I still get a few sales here and there
granted not as much as I was getting when I was actively putting things out but a sale here and there helps, especially after having to downsize my land holdings. (I really should get back to making stuff, even if just one thing a week) _____________________

Hang in there E, it takes a while. My first 4 months or so, I would practically jump up and down and scream at my partner OMG I SOLD SOMETHING!!! at least once a month or so lol Ohh i will ![]() I think part of it is the simple fact of having a limited inventory at the moment. I have nice clothes but there isnt a lot of them so if you dont like those few items then you might not buy anything even though you like the general style. I am just loving making new clothes so whatever happens happens _____________________

Just not a barbie Such a shame that more people don't use realistic shapes and looks in SL. I spend virtually all my time in jeans, pumps and t-shirt and consequently get mistaken for a bloke ![]() _____________________

Great post, Honey. Thank you for putting the part in about sending the freebie info to you...I honestly had no idea about doing that.
![]() Question: Does it need to be a definite freebie, or can it also be a 1L or 5L item? I've stopped doing freebies...even a lot of 1 & 5L helps me pay for texture uploads. Thanks ![]() ~ ~ ~ Something curious I've noticed in my own limited line of products: I make various items - not many granted at the moment and only a tiny fraction are in my Primal Arts place, but everything I sell is on XStreet. What sells the most? My 1-Touch drapes and blinds. I sell them daily, at first just from XStreet, so then I put them up in the satellite and now get sales from there as well. Again, the price is really low, but so are the prices on my other items. I've gotten IM's from people who tell me how much they like them, one person sent photos to me of her apt. with the blinds and one person wrote a review on Xstreet. It just amazes me that those little things are selling so well and they're not even (imo) my "best" item. I do plan on making a lot more soon. Starting to wonder if I should change the name of my store to "Czari`s Drapes & Blinds." ![]() _____________________

That is the same for me Czari...my blinds, curtains and drapes sell consistently....and people LOVE them. I suspect that it is partly because they are low prim and low cost as well as something that can add some privacy to their spaces. Seems like most of my one prim items sell very well and the more complicated things do ok.
E when I saw you in world i loved the dress you had on, but I have a few that are similar so I agreee that once you have more to choose from, you will have more sales. Your other items are lovely and well made, but just not my style...but I will keep an eye out and see what you have in store for us in the future. _____________________

I am working on optimising search and was just wondering how best to go about it?
I name my items based on what they are rather than frivilous names generally. I was just wondering whether the addition of useful key words in the description of these items was a good ites such as : item name : E! Plad Bowler hat - copy Description: L$50 - Plaid Bowler hat with prim flower in aqua, black, blue, pink, red or purple. Mad hatter style. Or is this not going to help much?? I really dont get the key words thing much but I want to learn how they work so i can try to improve. Anyway any ideas? _____________________

I'm not really sure either, E, but one thing I've begun doing is taking *Czari`s Attic* or *CzA* as I've now evolved it to out of my product name.
I heard in a class from a "little bird" ![]() So now in my picks and on XStreet (haven't gotten around to renaming everything there yet), instead of: *CzA* Wood Blinds - Light I'm putting: Wood Blinds - Light Then using the commentary space for my shop's name, description and lots of keywords. I am still *naming* my products with my name (ie *CzA* Wood Blinds - Light) but that is only seen after the person purchases the product. Several people mentioned they liked that for inventory organization. I realize that is mainly for clothes, but, just in case. ![]() Can any of you key word experts verify if I'm on the right track here? _____________________

Well after a lot of work, Sampireun Design is finally moved to my new sim! Together with the first part of Paradise Found, half the sim is now filled, and the next 2 weeks will be used to create about a thousand new plants, to get the sim ready.
After that is done, 3/4 of the sim will be covered in plants, trees, flowers and shrubs, and 1/4 will be my furniture store. By making the land double prim, I made sure I can use half the sims prims for my furniture, and the other half for the plants ![]() As soon as the entire sim is ready, I will announce an opening event. Due to the fact that I can only accomodate 20 avatars at the same time, probably I will not throw a big party, but do something else for the opening promotion. What I am working on now, is getting both stores back into search all on a decent ranking. For Paradise Found I am on the first page for both 'one prim plants' and 'low prim plants', but the new location of Sampireun Design still needs work. Last time I checked I was on page 9, while my original store is at #4 on page 1. Keeping you posted! _____________________

Your original store went to #3 yesterday - that spot you thought you would never get again - but it's back at #4 now.

Your original store went to #3 yesterday - that spot you thought you would never get again - but it's back at #4 now. Well that is kewl though, even if just for a moment ![]() What up to now I do not understand, is why my new store is only at page 9 using the same parcel name and description. As long as I am not on page 1, my old store must keep open, else it costs me way too much. Every time I think I start to understand how search works, I get surprised. Getting my plants store back on page 1 was quite easy though, so apparently I am missing something obvious. Optimizing search and doing marketing does take half my SL time lately, what fun ![]() _____________________

/me wishes i understood how to optimise a parcel for search better....
I think I get a bit of it in that any key words used in your descriptions and title of anything show up in search and therefore help your ranking. I assume the more often a keyword shows up on a parcel the more likely it is to be hight in the ranking but im not sure there? And pers the deliberate misspelling of words can actually be a good idea if this does work how i think it does. though im not sure it actually does _____________________

There's a big difference between getting onto page 1 for plants and getting onto page 1 for furniture - even low prim furniture. True Phil, but what I do not get is that with about the same data, the new store is 9 pages below the old one. There are slight differences, but nothing shocking. Picks could make the difference, though rumours go that with the latest changes, picks hardly matter. Since I am targeting that part at the moment, soon I will know. _____________________
