From: Ralektra Breda I tried to vote Amar but am having a little trouble trying to figure out just how to go about that Took me forever to figure out how on earth to just post something on there (I have had the flu and not thinking 100% clearly lol) I was voting cause I like the outfit even tho my vote didn't take I don't believe Thanks be not concerned- I have no clue what the votes mean any way- it does not seem to affect how high up the page or not things fall In any case- the important thing is it is another way to showcase our efforts. Have you posted to SL Profiles? http://www.slprofiles.com/index.asp There is the birth place of Cheap Peeps there, brain-child of Chamois Cham, several from here post there also. And don't forget SlUniverse does have a classified section. Good luck.

From: Amaranthim Talon You are absolutely right Rha- I failed to realize the level of interaction required to be able to participate in light banter- silly of me really to have taken posts like: No. 2286 as enough to warrant such ill conceived behaviour.
And this one that was nothing if not insensitive to your plight. No. 2258
Well- not to worry, though, I fully comprehend the depth of the situation. As they say, I wish you well.
The rest of you folks, in case there is ever any doubt, be sure I will not spin tales or praise things that in my surely uninformed opinion do not merit praise- when you hear me say I like something it is because I genuinely do or I would not have mentioned it to begin with. I won't however, go out of my way to cut your efforts to ribbons with thinly veiled contempt in the guise of bluntness.
And my apologies to you kind folks for the harshness - I do so seldom get riled. get over yourself I did not like the tone of the post and said so, sue me ok so you said a couple nice things to me, however I do not know you, and did not know what intent your post was meant as, so I said it how I saw it if that pissed you off and riled you, sorry, but that is life as I said I am done pussy footing around. I never asked you or anyone to vote on my stuff, however I have seen you make comments asking for people (general people) to hop over and vote, add that to the comment above and what should one think? and it was not an attempt to "cut your efforts to ribbons with thinly veiled contempt in the guise of bluntness" If I have something to say I will say it, and I had something to say, and I said it... simple enough in my book

A smart person once said to me. "When the same thing keeps happening over and over with different peope then it is time to look at ourselves, rather than thinking everyone else hasthe problem."
Rha sometimes your comments are well I dont know, but you know every arguement on this thread has involved you. Every nasty interaction has involved you. Maybe you should step back and look at the way you word things.
If you didnt agree with Ama's playful comment then ignoring it would have been best, rather than writing in such a way that it to me felt like you saw Ama as a cheat.
Ama although I cant say your clothes generally appeal to my style I can see they have been created with a huge attention to detail. My browser refuses to open up that page but if it every does i am sure whatever new creation you have would warrant my vote.

By putting it here you made it clear you thought Ama wated the gme the site for her own benefit. I would not have said anything (publically or otherwise) about the fact that you always seem to be in the middle of this stuff but for the fact you made this public and continue to make things like this public. Rha I think you are a decent person, I think however you do not think before youwrite. Youdont process how yourcomments could affect another person. As for the idea of this pack mentality. Ill be honest I dont ee it existing (though I am sure you think I am part of it becuase I am posting this ). The reason peopel get pulled up for their comment time and time again is because they word it in a way which will push peoples buttons either deliberately (like in the case of Phil, to be honest I think he enjoys it Sorry Phil if thats not the case ) or without thinking, like I think it is in the caese of you Rha. I dont agree with one person constantly attacking another and yes we have all seen that in here. But that isnt what we are talking about. When someone rubs peopel the wrongway, different peopel with no connection to each other, over and over you have to start to wonder why. I dont know, maybe Rha it mgiht be good for you (and i write thisto you becuase I knwo it upsets you when youupset others) that everytime you find a post which rubs you the wrong way for whatever reason like Ama's did. Write down your thoughts about it, save it to your computer and come back and read it 1/2 hour later. I have done this in the past when I know I have been in a space in my ehad which is not good for replying to things which evoke an emotional response in me. Anyway just my two cents.

I can understand both Amar and Rha. This thread is about helping each other, so it would almost be natural for Amar to assume reciprocation, since it costs nothing. On the other hand, I wouldn't like someone saying that they've done something beneficial for me, with the assumption that I'll reciprocate, because I may not want to, and it I would feel that I've been put on the spot. I wouldn't want to say no to the person, but I also wouldn't want to do it, so I'd be a bit stuck.

I enjoy a good debate, but that's not the same thing. If you want to spend a bit of time examining where it's happened, you'll find that I respond to people who appear to enjoy pushing my buttons, and not the other way round.

Personally I like your style and I did wonder if you said things at times to get people's attention. I tend not to get too far into those types of threads becuase to be honest they get a bit too nasty for me. I dont handle that stuff well. Please dont take offense as I did not mean it a a bad thing. My partner does ti too at times, in a playful way, she will say soemthing she knkows will rile me up a little cos she thinks it is cute

I didn't see it as anything negative in the slightest - I promise It's easy for people to think that I do it, especially when you get people stating that I throw more insults than anyone else here. It's true, but only because I throw back at anyone who throws first, and there are more of them than there are of me The recent bots threads have been quite quiet - not because I haven't been in them, but because certain other people haven't been in them, and it's left the discussions to carry on peacefully and academically. I think I've worn them out

Guys, it's no biggie, honest - I suppose it did sound like tit for tat- I assumed those that know me would know I don't play such childish games. Figured you guys have been reading me long enough to have learned that about me- guess I was wrong.
So- np- let's do move on - plenty of good stuff here with out singling anyone of us out. Let's just call it a learning experience and carry on.
Phil, to be clear, other than in agreed upon business dealings- I do not assume reciprocation. In SL we have no binding contractual agreements, therefore it behooves us to police ourselves. I have learned, much to my chagrin, this cannot always be depended upon- so no- I have taught my self not to assume and sadly, hardly ever to expect.

For goodness sake people, we are adults , well we are supposed to be. There are people who have real problems in the world. What is the squabbling about, some words?? Yes words hurt, but you have to also remember that words can be taken many ways and most of the time the wrong way. This is a friendly helpful thread, well it used to be. How many people have been scared off because of the all the fighting. We are all strong capable people who should be able to take control of our emotions and think before we speak.
I have been watching this unfold from that very first comment, which i thought was said in jest, and to be honest would be something i would say, but, not expect someone to do.
Just let it go peoples, move on and be the wonderful people you are. Its nearly christmas so come on down to my shop and buy everything!!!! joking. Seriously if you want to get it all out, come on down to our land, grab some good old sl weapons and shoot each other. Thats what i do, it gives me a giggle and lots of fun. Get the frustrations out
/me skips off merrily sing jingle bells and going to clean her new pretty guns

I am sorry... I am done, you won't hear any more from me I know the meds are messing with my head, and I should not have said anything, but... I just did not feel right not saying anything as I felt I was put on the spot... I did not take the comment in jest (then again I do not know the poster well enough to know if they are joking or not) consider it done, over, water under the bridge, and I am sorry if I upset anyone... (even though I was upset... that seems ok though) *sigh* yes I am miffed... *shrug* life (hopefully) goes on....

Will someone please explain to me how to vote? I have looked and looked and apparently I am missing something right in front of my face Amar, love the new outfit on there today I don't know what good votes do, or if they mean anything, but if I like something I want to be able to vote and apparently I'm not seeing something

There is crappy drug spam there too- so not sure how reputable the site is! Those I voted to bury - real stuff I don't like I just ignore and don't vote for or against since my tastes may not necessarily align with others. No- can't see as votes mean much other than to those that look at them and say oh- look- ten people liked these jeans but only four liked these... And thanks re outfit it was tons of fun doing!

Question Re: Group Inviter Script
11-28-2008 21:14
Does anyone know if there is a script for a group inviter that notifies the owner each time someone joins the group? Right now my shop group is tiny so I just check daily, but once a group gets large, it would be very time consuming to find new members. Thanks in advance for any info on this.

Class: Guerilla Marketing in SL @5p slt Tues
12-02-2008 08:45
Come to one of jojo Bailey's popular marketing classes. Tonight's class will focus on the concept of using low to no cost marketing efforts inside SL. We will not be discussing theory, but will focus on what works and what does not to drive traffic and interest to your store or sim. Learn from an experienced SL business owner who makes RL money from SL. This free class is offered to help those who want to have a business in SL succeed. Meet at the couches by the main entrance.
Just wanted to share this here since so many people have asked me when my next classes would be. I will hold one tonight and next Tues as well.
