From: Oryx Tempel Speak for yourself. I absolutely hate getting a bajillion items, all the same except for the layering, in the same folder. If a designer wants them to be worn as glitch pants and not glitch underwear, that's fine with me. The less crap in my Inventory, the better. Oh I understand completely And not all consumers are the same, but basically what I have found is that the majority of them do want multiple layers. I am sure they most likely do exactly what I do....keep what they want and toss the rest.

Thanks Saku, I think you're probably right. The easiest thing will be to set the group display to give a gift when someone joins and make an announcement about it on my old group.
As far as items on multiple layers, I try to strike a balance. I think about how someone might wear an item and supply the layers that make the most sense. Glitch pants go on just one layer... I don't really know why one would need them on more than that in most cases...

I totally agree with Orxy (which is probably why she and I both have low inventories...lol) but, since it is an individual choice and "you can't please all the people all the time, etc." I do what you said and keep what I want and toss the others as well.

I can't figure that out either, Betty...only thing I can think of is it might have something to do with tattoos - which on the whole I don't wear.

yup its tattoos Sometimes people like to layer parts of different outfits together too but mostly they want to be able to wear their tatts (and I like to wear mine so I can relate).

I am same as what you described, I would rather have more options than less. it doesn't cost me anything extra as the creator to make the extra layers (except a few minutes of my time) and I figure if they do not want the extra layers they can delete them. most folks like the additional layers (especially tattoo wearers, they like the options of extra layers)

From: Betty Doyle Rhaorth, I was wondering if you had found an easy way to move members over to your new group when you changed systems? I've been looking at the Hippo group system since it was mentioned here, and it really would save me a lot of money and seems to have some nice features, but the idea of moving over almost 1700 members manually is pretty daunting.... I exported them to a text file, cleaned out all the useless junk, and then added them batches at a time still a little time consuming, but not the same as copy and paste one at a time I don't worry if they are inactive or not, I just keep sending notices when needed my group count is near 500 so no where near as big as yours

Ahh, yes. I'd never thought of tattoos for the glitch pant thing. I've never had anyone ask for them on a different layer. I've had people ask in the past for other kinds of layers before I started providing more options Perhaps I'll just put up a sign that says I'm willing to provide additional layers if needed on request. Thanks, Rhaorth. I'll have to look into that as an option. I need to join one of your groups so I can see what the notices look like with Hippo.

I only have one group (my store group) just drop by and click the sign
you can check the history on the web (hippo's website) or in world at the sign
I do not send a lot of notices, only when I have a new release or special announcement

One of those things I have waited to find out the answer too without asking but has never happened . a pair of pants (or underpants) that are worn under a dress to hide the glitch of the system skirt splitting when walking, or when the leg shows through a prim skirt

Well since I found that the fact all the picks for my store pointed to my old parcel (that does not exist anymore even) I decided to put back my picks system. The fact that some people in this forum think it is unethical does not pay my bills Now I have no clue if 25 linden per week still attracts enough people to get back to my old level, but I do not want to wait several months to recover. Furthermore I see that the 2 add boards I rent at Sarah Nerds Freebie paradise do get clicked reasonably well, though I don't know if they generate revenue yet. The board at NCI does not seem to do me any good.

For speed, you could visit some camping places and hand out a "Free Money" notecard, explaining that you will pay for a Pick. Most will probably go to bots, but some will go to people and it might get the number of Picks up quite quickly. And then stop offering to pay when you have enough.

RL is a bit busy the coming days, but after that I will sure try this one. From the past, I guess that about 40 picks should be enough to get me back where I was before, so this could be achieves quite fast indeed this way.

From: Dekka Raymaker Big Knickers Porky. LOL thanks for translating Rha's explanation into 'simpleton' for me However this could also lead to confusion. Those crazy Americans call their trousers 'pants' right? Whilst us normal people know that pants means knickers and briefs and Y fronts and boxers and what not. But in this instance they decide to call their pants by the proper name i.e. glitch 'pants'. So if they are now calling their big knickers 'pants', then what are they calling their trousers? Superpants? /pointless over-analysis mode - off

I was going to try to organize this and I think it is a great idea but I have so many other commitments I realize that I just cannot give this the attention it deserves, at least anytime in the next few months. I don't want to do something half baked I do have an empty parcel (just under 1800 sq) that can be used for it if someone wants to do this before christmas, and I would be happy to participate if I am available on whatever day but I just can't run it. Thankfully I haven't had a huge amount of response regarding it so I don't feel like I'm letting too many people down...and it is a great idea, I just don't have the time to manage it.

From: Marcel Flatley The board at NCI does not seem to do me any good. Having taken a lot of classes at NCI, I notice the ad boards while there and a few times have taken note of someplace I'd like to visit. I think the main issue there is that apparently a lot of people advertise via the NCI boards that it takes a long time to go through all the ads, so even in a one-hour class, I am likely seeing just fraction of the advertisers. Of course the ads may be set up so that different merchants are being seen at the various NCI locations...but that's just my take on it.

I don't want to do something half baked I hear ya Once we enter the holiday season, people's lives get really busy. Good idea to keep in mind for next year sometime when not a lot is going on though. (Now I'm getting notices from one of my store groups for a "Turkey Hunt" for items. I haven't even weeded through the items from the grid-wide Halloween hunt nor this store's Halloween hunt. I'm "hunted out" atm.)

I think a lot of people are already committed to winter/holiday stuff. I know that I am, and suddenly I'm pulling my hair out trying to make time. Why don't you try for a Valentine show, to perk people up out of the winter blues? Or maybe a lovely Spring show in March?

wow this one slipped a few pages
I find it easier to place this info here than to search out the individuals that have asked me to do specific items. I won't be at my pc for a few days so won't be able to do any ps work.
also just wanted to say that if anyone has been trying to get ahold of me (or tries to) my internet is very limited at the moment.
I did manage to pop in world and update my profile explaining why.
