we have central heat and air, but i've yet to use the A/C for more than one week out of the entire summer. it just doesn't get hot here. we max aout at 90-100 every once in awhile, but that's good warm weather to me.

however, in winter.... we have to change the filter twice, because that sucker runs nonstop. i HATE to be cold.

John Mayall and Peter Green. Two of the leading exponents of the blues the world has ever known.

Peter Green was the founder of Fleetwood Mac when they were a seriously good blues outfit and not the West Coast Cocaine Snorting and Divorce Champions singing about Welsh witches, big love and little lies.

love Clapton. now remember who Green is. i can't say which is better because i don't recall sitting down to a Green solo and absorbing the magic. for me, neither can even touch Stevie Ray Vaughn. he is king of that realm, imo.

Yeah when I was growing up we had no air conditioning in our house. That’s one of the joys I remember of family vacations. Us all sitting around the wall unit ac at the motel…ooooh….ahhhh

I am bad about forgetting that the Great Divide is not the only continental divide that we have in the US.

So.......... How do you really feel about Fleetwood Mac in their later years?

Try to find the studio version of Fleetwood Macs "Oh well". Rather long but well worth it for Peter Green's guitar work.

Stevie Ray Vaughn played at my college and I invited my mom, brother and sister to the show. Back then it wasn’t uncommon for people to fire up a doob and just start passing it down the rows for anyone to take a hit. Several times I had to politely wave off the offer from the people around me but still the smell of pot permeated the auditorium and I was sincerely concerned about my mom and her reaction. After the show as we stood in the lobby I start to apologize to my mom for what I assumed was an annoyance to her. She looks at me with blushed cheeks and red eyes and exclaims…”My my I’m starved lets eat!” We all could barely stand for laughing so hard. And she thank god didn’t get it.

15 yrs ago, swamp coolers were what most houses here had. Then we started getting a large influx of people from other states and now A/C seems to be the norm and people look at you strange if you don't have it.

We have a swamp cooler and a window A/C unit for the family room. We run those during the day and then open up and put fans in the window at night and that works very well at keeping the house comfortable.

I would love to have a swamp cooler but they don't work when the humidity goes past 75%. It runs 80% to 100% here most of the time. My moss has mold growing on it.

"Man of the World" does it for me. There are few sadder songs than that beauty.

Amara for us in Louisiana and Florida this would work better. Pumping ice water through the copper tubing to add some cooling.

True - we can use them so much here because our humidity is always really low. Even with all of the snow that Colorado gets, we are considered a desert state.

Assuming you want to paste a slurl of where you are currently at: call up the map and click the 'Copy SLURL to clipboard' down in the bottom right, pull up the chat/im window and paste it there using the windows paste shortcut keys (ctrl-v).

If you want to do this for somewhere that you are not, but you have an LM, pull up the LM in the map and then proceed as above.

Thank you. I knew there was a simple answer to that question, but for some reason I just couldn't force my brain to come up with it.
