BLEH! I just had a crappy Saturday at Kennywood park.

#1- My fiancee doesnt ride anything that spins, goes up & down or upside down, or moves fast. Which means 98% of everything. We rode maybe 1 or 2 spookhouse rides. We got to take my 3 yr old niece on some kiddie rides, mostly me since I can fit. Do you know how hard it is to stand in line for 15-20 minutes with a 3 year old???

#2- the park was PACKED. 1 hr wait for just about everything.

#3- At the end of the night, she wanted a bag of cotten candy. At the entrance was the only place that wasnt out of it. We stood in line for 45 MINUTES, while the teens inside the wagon argued, burnt the sugar, and tried to figure it out. Then I watched as the girl got some on her hair & pulls it out then goes back to putting the cotten candy in a bag.

HEH! We took my Niece on "Noah's Ark", one of those old time walk-thru spook houses. In the process we ended up guiding along 2 lil' boys who were totally scared of the dark.

So yea... next time you're in Pittsburgh, go to Kennywood. :)

I don't go to amusement parks anymore. I cannot stand the mob and the long lines. And I find that as I have gotten older, I cannot handle near as many of the rides, which really really sucks. I loved these places as a kid and even worked at one for a couple of summers.

Good morning threadies. :)

I had an amazing night. Never been on for 5 hours before (except for the 1/2 break courtesy of Tucson Electric Power and a thunderstorm). Still I saw some beautiful things and had a great time.

It's so good when SL delivers its promised magic.

Yikes. Is there humidity there to go with that?

It is currently 95 here and going to 101 today, but our humidity is only 10-11% and that is normal, so the temps are not near as bad to deal with.

My 8,000 BTU window unit died yesterday and I had to replace it quick and cheap with a 5,000. What a difference.:( Barely cools off the living room, the other one did the whole downstairs!
