 I just added up my bill for today at Armidi....6 pairs of shoes....3 trenchcoats.....6 sweaters....5 pantsuit outfits....right around $6,000L. But I do love it so.

The damage would have been worse if the place wasn't so crowded.

That's one of my fav stores. But the lag has gotten really awful there for some reason. Last time I went in, I found myself totally stuck like glue and had to leave. Good way to save money tho.

have you ever AR'd someone for having an offensive name?

i did this morning. it was a word i do not use, and find quite offensive. the 7 month old avatar was gone from the sim and missing from search within 5 minutes of the AR, or maybe even sooner. can you believe that?

someone is paying attention at LL. i'm glad they are trying to keep the place clean, in certain ways.

I like mine that way too, maybe just a pinch of sugar.
I like quite a bit of sugar in my whipped cream...but nothing else.

My dad will always be there for me in my heart. He was a good man and a great father.
This is how I feel about my parents - more grateful I had them than sad that they're gone.

I know I'm a good dad to my kids.
Just knowing you from here, it would be hard to imagine you not being a good dad.

I wouldn't AR a name in any case myself, I figure if someone wants to walk around with a name that bad, they get what they ask for. But it is good to see action was taken on your complaint.

it wasn't really a quality avatar. it was obviously a camping bot with a bad name, still wearing newb everything. if it had been a well-dressed, operational avatar, i probably would have just shook my head and not thought about it further.

makes me curious as to what the name would be- further- makes me curious why anyone would do something so stupid as to have an AR'able name in the first place.

Hey- I gots a question... when someone buys something on OnRez from you- how do you get paid? Does it just increase your dollar available value? No one has bought anything from me in OnRez yet so I am curious.

well, the name was in reference to either a 'female body part or a cat'. i think that is a lude, crude and downright rude word!

Thank you Elora, and thank you Amaranthim. Hugs are always gladly accepted, and it's good to know I have friends to cheer me up. It's no big deal. I'll be fine. My dad will always be there for me in my heart. He was a good man and a great father. I know I'm a good dad to my kids. It's just one day, so it's no big deal. Sometimes you have to suck it up and ignore how you're feeling and just push onward.

I bet you your kids think they have the Coolest Dad on Earth. :)

My Father's Day ritual has been the same since 2004. I drive all the way out towards the end of Long Island to where Dad is buried, change out the American , Navy and FDNY flags on the grave. I bring a six pack of his favorite beer, and leave one bottle. I sit there for a while, cry a bit and drink another. Then I go to the beach.

So I'm guessing "Goldfinger" isn't one of your favorite movies? :p

i imagine you mean to include Goldmember. that's a pretty crude movie as far as references go.

That's what I thought at first. But then I thought what if I saw an avatar named Rape&Kill[ethnicname] ? I would AR something like that.

Hmmm... not a word I'd find offensive.

That sounds like a nice tradition. Losing parents is hard.

And yet, nobody complained about that at the time, did they? What did her name refer to, if not the obvious?

I mean, was the name of the film "X'd" out in the papers?

I'm not "young" but I'm also not old enough to know that.

/me wonders...

i'll bet they wouldn't be able to get away with it nowadays. i don't know the history either, Elora.

i'm prety sure it was in reference to cats, although we are all bright enough to get the double entendre.

Pretty much every Bond movie has one female character with a suggestive name. In "Moonraker" it was Dr. Holly Goodhead.

I haven't looked into OnRez but maybe it's like SLX. over there when you make a sale the money goes into your SLX account and then you can have it put into your SL account from there.
