Well, I finally dug out!! I think I have about 30 inches of snow. I didn't take any pics today (lol, I was too busy shoveling), but I'll take some tomorrow. The U.S. Federal Govt. is shut down tomorrow, so that means my place is closed, too.

The plows might make it to our neighborhood tomorrow...

I was bored, so I took some pictures.

This is my "can you believe they wanted my shirt off?"

I know the pictures are too dark. I couldn't fix them without making them too light. I was playing around at the forum hangout photo studio, and I switched on "warming" light. That messed the pictures up.
I like the lighting - nice slightly moody feel. Good pictures.

Yes, but did she describe my physique to you in detail?

Pep (Or did my captivating smile distract her too much?)
!! This is weird - I don't remember. Could she have failed to mention? Could I have forgotten to ask? Mybe it was your captivating smile. Honestly I hate this not being able to remember even things I'm interested in.

I can't tell you how much I admire the ability to shovel even modest amounts of snow.

Too many to mention but:

Lil' you looked lovely at your wedding.

Brenda, Boomer pictures are fab, he is looking so well.

Soji, you look so yummy!

Weston, so do you, both as a man and a dog!

Lula, loved your outfits and your av is very beautiful.

I seem to recall seeing something claiming to be a RL pic of Pep on the stairs in Piccadilly Square, or something like that.

Since he was not wearing a pink tutu, I don't remember much about it.

Personally, I don't recall a "football physique", nor do I remember being shocked by immense rotundity. It was too far away to catch even a glimpse of a 'captivating smile'. Probably that pic is somewhere around here in the forums.

I went to The Art Box this evening because I was bored and I'm procrastinating as usual. It's been a while since I've been there and there are so many new things! Essentially they are reproductions of famous works of art where you are able to immerse yourself within them and many of them come with props you can use. It seems I always tend to bump into the owners when I'm there and they are quite lovely to chat with. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Klaw/21/20/22

Perhaps a bit sacrilegious

My daughter got stuck in Philly today. She was there interviewing with Penn State for the Grad program and was to fly home tonight but all flights out of there were cancelled. She was suppose to leave Denver again tonight to fly to FL for the next interview, but now she cannot get out of Philly until tomorrow, so FL has to be rescheduled.

And not to show you up but I wanted to share a photo from when Ghosty and I got partnered as a memory here. If some remember, we were planning on having a large party which never happened and we never explained why. Turns out, we planned it for the weekend of Burning Life - we didn't even realize it and when we did decided to make it for another weekend (little by little, people were telling us they were committed to being at BL and it seemed crazy to try and have a party at the same time). Then, the holidays were swiftly upon us and we just couldn't manage to find a time when it seemed convenient for enough people.

So - it never occurred :( But, no matter. The important part was between him and I privately. Perhaps we'll make a 1st year anniversary party and share the gorgeous cake which he created then (primy as it is) :D
I'm so happy for you two, to have found each other here and be able to take it RL.

Hi, Threadies! Probably this is my last post in this historic construction.

Love, hugs, and congratulations to you all, especially Rhaorth for being (however unwittingly) the Mother of the Thread, and to Maureen, for all the gold stars and yummy breakfasts.

@Lindal, hope to see you in world after the forums have closed, take care *hugs*

As we get closer to the end the time for pictures is drawing to a close and so here is a (probably) final selection taken with a dear friend of mine, SophiaAnne Heartsdale, a very talented artist and designer who is the owner of the Prowl clothing stores: -

I'm so happy for you two, to have found each other here and be able to take it RL.

Thank you Lil.

And thank you to everyone else, for everything. Like Lindal, don't know if I'll be posting again here as today is close to closing and I'll be at work, and busy with RL as things shut down.

Finding this forum was a saving grace for me when I entered SL. Had I not discovered it, I certainly would have left this world. The people on these boards explained things to me which I could not find instructions for, offered me friendships, and I found two wonderful loves here as well - the second of which (Ghosty) crossed-over into RL and was a most unexpected and fantastic outcome of being here.

I've met one other of you in RL (Oryx - a delight), have plans to meet another late October (Amara, hopefully, when G and I are in Florida on a stop-over for a cruise). Sadly, 3Ring and I didn't manage to hook up in December as planned, but I do hope one day that we can. Maureen and I have talked over and over of getting together but just haven't managed to do so yet, but D.C. is close and I know one day we'll be able to. I cherish the friends that I've made here, and have always been open to meeting (most of you) should our paths manage to cross.

Most of you I'll see now and then at the Cartel Hangout, and I look forward to the parties to come. And there is a home for those who want it at SCII, please - come by! The Never Ending Thread lives!

*waves to Elora* see you inworld most likely at parties, cartel and such when I am able to make them. I am going to try for the party next week if possible.

I would also like to thank everyone in RA who helped weave a rich and vibrant community from many things in common and a myriad of differences. It has certainly been a roller-coaster of a ride. Though I have not gotten on well with some here and there have certainly been times when I needed to step away, it has certainly been an interesting read on the whole. So a big thank you to both my friends and my enemies as I don't believe you can have one without making a few of the other.

I don't know when my last post will be exactly as I don't know exactly what time on the 9th the forums will close, but farewell in advanced everyone, see you in-world perhaps :)

Did you guys know that when you make the font bigger on these pages the pictures get bigger too? I probably need new glasses so lately I've been hitting control + to make the font more readable. I've been wondering why the pics look so huge.

Duh.
Weston, which browser are you using?

If Safari, go to the View menu and select "Zoom Text Only".

If Firefox, go the the View menu, then the Zoom submenu, and select "Zoom Text Only".

If Internet Explorer, go to the location bar and type "http://getfirefox.com/". :p

Both Safari and Firefox also have the ability to set a minimum font size in the Preferences. In Safari, it's in the Advanced section. In Firefox, go to the Content section, then select "Advanced..." under "Fonts & Colors".

Hope that helps. :)
