tell!

LOL

Oh, just the new AU thingy . . . for some reason, it seems a lot more fun than FB. Despite the fact that there really doesn't seem to be much to "do" on it.

Chocolate chip. With pecans.

I see you're mourning scrambled eggs now. If you are going to be a health nut, you have to stop this, you know.
She doesn't like chocolate. I'll eat hers. :o

Whats funny is, as a kid, when I'd make scrambled eggs, I'd draw faces on them before cracking 'em open. Ok, so I was a weird kid. :p
Why am I not surprised?

Hi folks. I thought I'd check out this wonderful old nostalgic fire hydrant again to celebrate my 2000th post. I suppose that makes me a rank amateur compared to many of you, but I like to think of my smaller post count as "composure." :p

Nice to see everyone is still at it and it's good to see the vanity pics again. :)

Okay. Carry on.

Hug hug hug, Weston. You are one of the most composed people I know. Congratulations on #2000.

SL is the only thing I play as well but I'm almost thinking that it might be a good idea for people to join just to claim their SL name to avoid spoofing which I'm seeing already for some high profile accounts (not just Philip's). I can also see issues with claiming group or business names in AU that don't correspond to SL ownership and there's also the issue of integration with the Teen Grid. In theory, I like the idea ... there are issues with the UI and functionality which I'm sure will be improved upon, but I'm not sure they thought through some of the policy issues before announcing this.

Hmmm???

*looks up before finishing up her John Cleese, Eric Idle, and Terry GIlliam accounts*

M should have made it clear that it's at present a beta to play with, and may change dramatically as time goes on.

I suppose it's possible that they've been distressed by the negativity on the blog in recent weeks, wanted to cheer up the user base a bit, so announced a little prematurely.

unlikely, tho.

I think drinking the Kool Aid may be a harsh way of describing it, however I don't see any reason for excitement. Sort of Facebook for avatars. I guess it might fill the void should this forum actually go away at some point.

No. I think I see what you mean, though - it's a shiny distraction.

But at least it isn't Facebook.

I would love to believe you, but I'm so accustomed to having my heritage mocked. ;)

It's actually kind of funny... I find SO many noises painfully unpleasant, but bagpipes (played well, of course) are heaven to me. Especially in a full pipes-and-drums band, I could listen to that for hours.

I like the accordion too. Go figure. Anyway, I'll be out for a day or two, so feel free to ridicule me in my absence. :p
