Logins, Inworld Services and Support Down for Maintenance Wednesday a.m

[Edited 5 Jan 09 10:30 a.m. added land store and XStreetSL to list of disabled services]

[Bumped 4 Jan 09 2 p.m. Pacific]

Wednesday January 6 2010 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific, we’ll be closing logins and disabling major inworld services for ninety minutes of upgrade work on our databases.

During the maintenance, logins, account registrations, XStreetSL, and the land store will be unavailable, along with Support Ticketing, Live Chat and telephone support.

The Knowledge Base will remain available.

Residents who are in world will not be disconnected when maintenance begins, but will lose access to services such as
* mapping,
* teleport,
* inventory,
* object and L$ transfers, and
* LindeX.

We’ll warn in world several minutes before the outage begins, and we’ll post any changes to the scope and schedule of the work here as they develop.

We appreciate that this will inconvenience a number of our Residents. The maintenance work is to enhance the stability and performance of our database-backed services.

Is this a return to the Wednesday madness?

I'm still working on a bathtub/pizza pic, but in the meantime here is one of my current hair:

I bring to you a picture shocking beyond belief. I bring you a picture that might require some to turn their heads away for . . .

I am naked but for collar and veil. Are you ready? No? oh. darn. Ok then *whistles and wanders away*

I scored some free hair tonight at Analog Dog! YAY!

Hmm, I don't think it really suits me though :/ Might look better on some you.
Look for the glowing white balls behind the signs. There are a bunch of them, but they all contain the identical six sets of hair so you only need to buy one. Most are so so and this one is probably the nicest (Lua Smoke). http://slurl.com/secondlife/Analog%20Dog%20Hair/95/190/21

I thought that was some kind of weird hat until I figured out it was the doorway.

That hair and that color on you, Josh... bleagh!!! Get rid of it.

Now THIS hair, on the other hand... me likey. It has a fresh look to it; the texture is not realistic, but somehow it's all the more appealing because of it.

pfft to all you critics!! :p

I didn't even realize how badly composed that snapshot was. I should have chosen a less busy back drop but the weirdness of the hair on my head had me distracted. Someone lied and said there was boy hair in the box but this is how it should look http://slondlist.blogspot.com/2010/01/so-hot-right-now.html

It definitely looks better on an avatar of the feminine persuasion.

Josh, I was trying to decide if you were pretending to be Weird Al or Howard stern.

gorgeous pic. The color of the veil looks lovely against your blushing cheeks and rosy lips.

Although you look a bit startled in the photo...as if you don't quite believe what's happening. :)

Howdy folks!

I hope everyone had a great holiday. Mine was awesome but I am glad to be getting back to a normal routine.

Did I miss anything important?

As soon as I get a few hours of free time I'll even try to catch back up with the thread.

Welcome back, Tex! Happy New Year. :)

Here's a Texas style/size breakfast for you. I'm sure you didn't eat much over the holidays... *chuckles*

I really LOVE the glasses, tape and all, and the Joshie necklace.....but I really, really really like geeky looking guys, avatars, to to me, that's really teh hawt, go figure. The hair, meh, not so much.....I love Analog dog but on you, that one just doesn't work......perhaps creates a clash for the eye, with the glasses, I dunno. :p

Oh don't even go there!

I've always been one of those fortunate people that didn't have to worry about what they eat. After my physical last August I was told my cholesterol was a bit high as was my blood sugar. Since then I've been paying more attention to my diet. I was proud of myself for doing so well at that. Well, I was until the holidays rolled around. Boy did I fall of the wagon big time. :eek:

Oh, I LOVE the taped up glasses. When I was a kid, there was a boy in my neighborhood whose glasses ALWAYS sported tape right there. *sighs wistfully* He was soooo cute.

And now he's a chef... Yum. :)
