I hung out with Jiggy last night, at a skin store, and then at her gallery/sky box in Zindra. Jig took some pictures of both of us: I think, for reasons that I find hard to quantify, that she's a really good SL photographer. Which makes it all the stranger that she has never posted a pic of her self here. I've tried to convince her that she needs to create a Flickr gallery of her photography.

I find it really odd that someone who has created for herself such a powerful and distinctive presence here in the RA forum has never posted a pic of herself, and doesn't use a forum avatar. I think we need to know what Jiggy looks like. So . . .

Heeeere's Jig:

Here's a pic she took of me that, simple as it is, is nicer than any I've ever taken of myself:

And one of Jig and I:

Jig's place is also an art gallery, with some really lovely art of all sorts. I really like this pic:

We need to convince Jiggy to start posting her pics, here and elsewhere!
I agree, Scylla. And I can't get enough of your fab pictures.

Mom's recovery's moving along pretty well, Josh. :) She is now in a rehab center, right at the hospital, and is now focused on her physical therapy.

lol, it's my dad that I'm worried about, since of course he's worried about his love, and cannot be with her 24/7.

All of this is...made more...challenging by the fact that my mom is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. :(

So...we're hanging in there! :)

I was wondering if you were doing fireworks on the 31st! They look marvelous! *smiles*

Oooh, and I like the look of Miramare Place. I'll stop by soon!

Hope you enjoy your visit!

I had been on and off the fence about fireworks. I mean there were other people doin' parties, and the Linden Lab ball drop thingy, but in the end I just could not resist. was a fun one, too. :-)

From: 3Ring Binder
you always have so much fun in SL. :D and i LOVE this piccie. fireworks sound awesome, sorry i missed.

Glad ya like it! What can I say, we have a street out front, we have a ball, and we can rez there. Instant fun. :-)

(The part you don't see is all of us sitting on it, me moving it to 4000m up, and it bouncing us across the sim when it hit the ground) :-D

Great story!! One of life's little victories.

A few years ago, while the housing bubble was still inflating fast, my sister-in-law and her husband bought a house, not yet built, on a new development. Then they saw another house that they liked better and tried to back out of the deal they had already made. No go. So they sold the house privately and made a $200,000 profit "flipping" a house that wasn't even built yet.

whoa!!! How wonderful for your SIL!!!

lol, me too, 3Ring.

Remember when Perre Anatine built that really really really tall tower...geez, when was that...over a year ago?

Anyway, Crazod gave me a sphere to use when I reached the top of the tower. Wearing the sphere placed you inside it....and I rolled off the edge of the tower.

Whoa...that was something, in mouselook! :p

And another time, at the Hangout, we made those bubble poseballs physical, so that when someone sat on them...we could roll 'em around the Hangout. :D

ETA: And you don't know how hard it was for me to refrain making the comment "sig alert"

ohhh...hehe..nvm. :D

can you make an attachment physical? I just have this vision of someone attaching something to themselves and falling over.

Of course that question only works if sitting and attaching create two different thingie-a-bob-hopes.

Oh wow...sorry you're not feeling well. :(

Great pics of you and Jig, Scylla. *smiles* I have wondered what Jig looked like inworld.

I do have to ask Jig if I might come by and see her art gallery. :)

Scylla and Jig, both good pics. i love your wig, Jig.

Thanks Mo, Kaimi, and 3!

I think Jig's gallery is pretty much open to anyone who wants to visit; I'm sure she'd happily provide you with an LM. It's well worth seeing.

I think I've figured out at least a couple of the things I like about Jig's photos (of which these are all samples). For one thing, she's not afraid to take just head shots. It's funny how few "portraits" of avatars we see (excepting forum avatars and similar): it's as though we don't feel that our avis' faces will hold up to the scrutiny of this kind of focus. In fact, it's surprising how "expressive" our faces can seem.

The other thing about these pics relates to the way that Jig has decentred the focal point of the composition, which adds interest and a sense of space.

Wow, that looks awfully nice! I need a much bigger bathtub. :(

My thoughts are with you and your parents, Mo. Hugs.

And to Lil, the lucky recipient of this bath . . . ;)
