Boss came in, said the TSA was at his subway stop, randomly taking people's bags and putting them through a chemical detector.

It doesn't worry me, since he said they seemed to be cherry picking the easy cases (old ladies with big bags), but it does bother me. Seems like they're just putting on a show.

Of course, I would have eat my words if something were to happen, and I have no idea whether they received some tip, but...

Well...it would be a prime day for stuff to occur....

I just checked, I see the blogorum as exactly the same as it's been, not sure what Lexxi means.

I think Lexxi meant her blog?

It's a bright breezy day here in Central Florida, a high of around 80 is expected.

*Ducks the incoming snow and ice balls.

*laughs*

Enjoy the respite from the cold. It'll be here, a-waiting for you. :p

Merry Christmas, Brenda. :)

Apparently it's more cost efficient to have underpaid people make flying (and sometimes subway travel it seems) more inconvenient than to check all the container ships arriving on our shores everyday - any one of which could be unloading wmd's set to detonate at soon as they hit dense U.S. population areas.

 Actually it seems to have gotten significantly cooler in my neighbor hood since my kids arrived from the upper latitudes... It's about like it was at there house in August, when I visited last year.

We're off to see "Avatar" in a little while. Not at Imax, but in 3d with stadium seating...

oooh...can't wait to hear your movie review! :)

Mo - that house is very nice.

And of course you will have a housewarming party, which means that you have managed to totally put together and decorate at least two, maybe three, houses in the amount of time that I have been creating my one house --- and I was even building it from a sample.

Thanks! The builder's name is Rawly Rousselot: Rousselot Construction, Isleworth, Ltd., Isleworth (128, 130, 27). He's designed some amazing houses..the models are on the Costa Rica sim.

The model is called Villa Sudidi. *smiles*

Thanks - I need to do some landscaping, too...I'm missing having flowers and foliage around the house! But, lol...I needed to deck the halls first! :)

Can't wait to see your video house tour! :)

@Maureen - lovely house! It really looks nice!

@Josh - nice cards!

So... I got home from work and Six wanted to play cards, but not the usual stuff we play, like Gin, or Spit, or Crazy Eights, or Fish...

I googled and found this game called Golf, which is very fun!

http://www.pagat.com/draw/golf.html

You have four cards, face down, and you get a glance at two. You can replace cards until you think you have a lower score than the other player.

Just in case anyone doesn't know about this .. NORAD runs a great site for the little munchkins to see where Santa is currently located and his trip around the world. I just hope they don't accidentally fire a heat seeking missile at Rudolph by mistake http://www.noradsanta.org/en/index.html

Well, according to my husband, I have managed to make this Christmas completely unforgettable........... though not necessarily in a good way.

I was out back shoveling the deck. He came out to help me. I was scooping and tossing over my right shoulder. He decided to start a little to close to the area I was working in. Just as I tossed, he stood up from being somewhat stooped over and turned towards me.

The result was shovel edge (very very sharp edge) connected with his face, just above the cheekbone, about an inch below the eye. He screamed and fell to the snow, covering his face with his hand. My heart almost stopped because at this point I honestly thought I had hit his eye with the corner of the shovel. It took a minute or so to get him inside and to let me look. Then I ran for the butterfly bandages, while he cussed and tried really hard not to scream loud enough to be heard a mile away. After applying 2 butterfly bandages and noticing how much it was still bleeding, we decided we had better head to the doctor to see about stitches.

The result was 5 stitches for a cut that was roughly 1.5 inches. Luckily it was a pretty clean cut, so there should be minimal or no scarring after it heals up. Unfortunately for him, it was a snow shovel that lives in the garage and the doctor could not find records that he had had a tetanus shot in the last 10 yrs, so he got to get one of those after the stitching was done.

The doctor did say that I did very good with the butterfly bandages and that helped make it easier to stitch it cleanly.

I feel horrid though and he will never let me live this one down.

OMG, the same thing happened to me when I was a kid... hit the neighbor boy on the forehead and he had to get stitches. I felt really bad... I think they probably didn't let me play over there anymore after that... :o
