Dozing on the couch. He has been up off and on all night tending to the turkeys on the smoker. Due to that, he had to take minimal amounts of pain meds. So between the turkeys and the soreness, he has only been dozing in 30-45 min increments since about 9:00 pm last night. His attitude is pretty good though. He is one of those folks that almost always has a grin on his face or is chuckling at something. Well, right now, laughing apparently hurts like hell cuz of the way it scrunches up your cheek muscles and skin.

Glad he's doing OK. :)

And how were those yummy smoked turkeys??

Happy Christmas everyone! Today should be interesting at work. Hopefully it's not too much of a loony bin, LOL.

Hugs to all!

For those who enjoy free stuff...

There's a free box of goodies at -RC-Cluster. a snow hud, a patch of sculpy snow, and a snow shovel. I think that one is only today

There is a gift box at Livingtree, in the middle of the sim near the big tree. Sweater, long johns, and other goodies. That should be out 'til Orthodox Christmas.

Oooh, thanks, Mari! :)

Hope you're enjoying the holiday season. :)

And before you say anything.... I dont care if a woman is 90lbs or 300lbs.... if she's attractive to me thats all that matters.

We've been chatting & cam-ing with each other. Might get together for New Years.

I is happy. :)

And after all the food craziness of yesterday, this is what I had for breakfast:

The day after Christmas, I generally avoid shopping like the plague. I know others who cannot wait to take advantage of the after-Christmas sales. The only reason I've ever shopped on December 26th was to pick up discounted Christmas decorations/wrapping/gift bags.

How about you?

@Lil: I hope you don't feel too badly about that shovel incident. He should have seen it coming.

God, I am so exhausted! I don't know what it is. I slept like a rock last night. I would be resting today, but I promised Six I'd take her and her friend to see the Squeakquel (the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie). I wish I could sleep through it, but I'll probably end up laughing and liking it.

I actually had fun helping my mother cook. I think she was so nervous about trying a new and somewhat complicated dish that she appreciated having me there.

I blogged about what she cooked: http://seven.mothmade.com/

We had some guests over and it was so much fun! We ate at midday, and we had so much fun talking they almost ended up staying for dinner.

Everything you ever wanted to know about duck sex and a few things you probably didn't.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/12/091223074659.htm

ScienceDaily (Dec. 23, 2009) — Female ducks have evolved an intriguing way to avoid becoming impregnated by undesirable but aggressive males endowed with large corkscrew-shaped penises: vaginas with clockwise spirals that thwart oppositely spiraled males.

It made hubby laugh, which of course then make hubby hurt. The bruise has started showing now - looks like a nice shiner just under the eye and near the outer corner of the eye.

The turkeys were very yummy. I did not even start tearing the second bird apart until last night. So we definitely have lots left over. Which of course makes my starving college student son very very happy.

And after all the food craziness of yesterday, this is what I had for breakfast:

The daughter child wanted some sort of chocolate pudding pie for Christmas dinner, so we found a recipe that sounded good and we made that. It ended up tasting sort of like the chocolate french silk pie at Perkins, only much much better. It ended up being the hit of the dinner. However, since we were all totally stuffed from the meal itself, we ate only tiny pieces of the pie last night. So guess what my breakfast is. :D

I actually try to avoid stores from Thanksgiving until about a week or two after the new year, though I usually have to force myself into one or two stores during that time just to get some gift that I couldn't find online. I absolutely refuse though, to enter any store on the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas. I did receive a nice "additional 15% off absolutely everything" coupon for Kohls that is also good for online shopping today thru Monday, so I will check the online sales.

What I am finding funny about the whole thing is that every time he tells someone that I whacked him with the snow shovel, they all say something like "what did you do to piss her off that bad" or "by accident or did you deserve it".

Yeah, but luckily most girls are a bit more mature at 22 than boys at that age.

Food craziness, whoo hoo. Yesterday the young people made breakfast - about 4 hours before I usually even start eating. I had an everything bagel toasted with butter and extra garlic, piled high with cream cheese plus a whole lot of fresh fruit salad and plain yogurt. Enough calories to last me several days. Then not long that after I ate about 8 Godiva chocolates - with about a quarter pound of my husband's famous Scotch shortbread - butter, sugar, flour and almond extract. Mmm chocolate with shortbread: really tasty.

Then I took a nap while Hubby and kids made huge fancy East Indian feast. Other daughter, son-in-law 2 grandkids and two old friends came over and somehow I couldn't eat much of the meal. But anyway the Charger fans all had a good time, the grandkids were definitely having a great time, we were all happy to be together and I was in heaven with so many loved ones in my house at one time. Then I started picking at all the different food sitting all over the place and in short probably don't need to eat again until sometime in March.

As for shopping. I never like it.

I was up at 530am this morning after making Christmas dinner for 10 last night (which is actually quite small for me normally but I'll be doing it again in a few days for a big family thing) I made turkey and a salmon crab wellington as the mains. It was good but I'm more excited about the big dinner we'll have later in the week.

There was a sale at Best Buy today for some Bose speakers I wanted so I decided to go and the doors opened at 6am. OMG lined up in the freezing rain for an hour. Thankfully I had a good chat with some funny girls in line to pass the time away and now I have ::thump:: ::thump:: bass to listen to my tuneage.

I just came across some deals mainly for the ladies. A shop is giving away all their stuff as a gift to the community .. mainly girls hair which looked pretty nice .. a few ugly boys hair and also a few skins. The next lm is for mainly girls shoes and a whole bunch of unisex sneakers. I was most excited and wet myself about the free sculpts at the last lm but then realized they weren't full perm but they are still free for personal use. Have fun shopping:

shoes

Now for an amazing deal! There's also a REALLY great boys and girls outfit from Le Look which includes everything from top to bottom - hair, clothes, boots, accessories and a Vista AO. From this landing point there is a board to buy all the stuff but you need to join the Le Look group. Good luck trying to get in though .. took me forever so I was selfish and got my goodies first before I shared the info ^^

Howdy all, just popping in to say Hello.

Wish me luck. My side of the family that I loving (mostly) refer to as the hillbillies should be descending on my humble abode any minute now.

Things always go well with us but I get nervous beforehand just the same.

Even if things aren't perfect we should still eat well. I got an 18 pound Turduken cooking away in the oven.

Adios for now, be well all.

Say hi to cousin Billy Bob and Mary Jo for me, Tex! ^^

I'm curious about the Turducken .. I've always wanted to try it just to say I have. What I REALLY would like to try is Seven's Mom's Rosa di Parma. I might even try making that sometime as it sounds delish.

Happy shopping and Happy Boxing Day!

I just got back from Boxing Day shopping at the Eaton Centre and Dundas Square . . . Wall-to-wall humanity: I kept expecting lag to kick in, except that it wasn't necessary: the crowds were moving so slowly I wouldn't have noticed.

And now you think I should do more shopping in SL??

Got some cool books, a nice pair of boots, and some late Xmas presents . . . Despite all, Boxing Day shopping is an old tradition I still love. So, thanks for the links Josh!

Happy Boxing day, to thems that celebrate it, and even to thems that don't! :)
