You are, of course, talking about RL, and that you probably know this already, but . . . have you thought of renting at Virtual Harlem? It's a pretty cool sim . . . Harlem at the time of the Harlem Renaissance, in the 1920s. Not quite dirty or dangerous enough, but very evocative otherwise. And I am 90% certain that they rent apartments.

(There are a couple of dance halls, a theatre . . . a trolley . . . etc.)


I'll check that one, the Virtual Harlem; I'd rather rent in current day Harlem but can't get past all the ban lines and so gave up. Now I'm looking in Manhattan. :) But thanks, will check Virtual Harlem too.

The drive and walkway were shoveled. I looked outside and it looks like the snow is not only filled in the area shoveled, but is higher there now. Higher than top of the wheels.

while I was at the hangout talking to Bilbo, Feline showed up wearing this great Christmas boa, complete with blinking lights:



then Soji popped in with a very cool raccoon avatar... great animations.

Thank-you :) And no, Maui isn't one for trying to get out. The other one likes to try to get out, but he is also not an outdoor cat.

And even if either were, 20 and 1 quarter inches of snow is a bit much for kitties to go out into.

I love to watch them take their first steps in snow. They are so cautious and cruious. Of course I never let mine get out of arm reach. They were inside kitties too, just wanted to give them the experience.

I think that is why I have always been a cat person more than a dog person. A dog always seems to love you no matter what. A cat may always love you, but they will not always show it, sometimes preferring to be a snob to make you pay for some perceived indiscretion.

Yay! I gave you and myself a present for my rez day today by spending much of it over in SC2 and I managed to achieve my objective. In less than twelve hours, by pointing out the arbitrary nature of their moderation (with particular respect to Immy being inappropriately consigned to The Cornfield) I managed to get them to exemplify my argument by arbitrarily consigning me there as well, which kinda dilutes Immy's "punishment" and should start up even more consternation among the participants there who are concerned about moderation on a forum that claims not to be moderated. Join their forum at your peril.


Actually I want to second Pep's comments here. Join SC at your own peril - the peril of being in a place where Pep is currently neutered. Where Pep cannot follow you around the forum hurling insults at you. Where he can't disrupt threads and try to wreck communities as we've seen all to often here.

Ok, just saw the pictures you guys are posting. While they are very pretty, I realised what we have is nothing! What we have is just a sprinkling of snow.....and we've completely shut down.

Ahhh hopefully next year I will be posting my properly snowy pics lol. Supposedly it reaches the hips there :eek:
