This is me wearing Milla Alexandre's Holiday skin (thanks, Milla!), my new hair from Analog Dog, and a dress I bought at Lil's yard sale.

Wow.

Gorgeous.

A nice cheap xmas bazaar I found out about:

Winterville Bazaar christmas market -- Everything there is at maximum 15L$ and everything is transfer so you can make really nice gifts. It goes till the 2nd January 2010.

ETA - seems this might just be getting set up, cuz about 1/4 of the booths are empty other than a store sign.

I only watched the ones with the Doctor.

Pep (oh, and in passing I might have noticed a female Borg that was moderately attractive.)
Seven of Nine. Now that was a female character we could all love.

eta: the Doctor, also very cool.

My darling kittens have now all gone to their new homes, where they will have wonderful, happy lives. So how come I feel so horrible? *sniffle*
Life can be so poignant.

My dream/goal in life (post retirement, not before) is to live in Harlem, in NY. That's where I want to spend my golden years. I want to be rich enough to enjoy it, no pulling a 9-5. Read recently where a 875 sq ft condo sold for $150k, which is cheap. (That ain't Lindens) and that's pretty small. But on the other hand, would be no room for grown kids to 'visit'. Could be a good thing. "I want to be a part of it, New York, New York!!!"

Harlem would be an awesome place to retire Treasure - so rich with history and culture. You might even bump into Bill ever once in a while ^^ When I get around to retiring, which from looking at my bills won't be for quite a while, I'd love to have a little cabin on Saltspring Island. I'd start a commune or something and live out my fantasy of being a hippy and just take a puddle jumper into the city when I needed a fix of the urban life.

But stay away from the charming brownstones with the big stoops, because I have one word for you:

ICE

Until you've helped a fragile elder down one of those inadequately salted stoops with the treacherous knobs of ice, you don't know the meaning of danger.

(who's that guy with the weird smile walking behind us? He's ... RUN! Oh, you can't, you have arthritis. Damn.)

There are reasons why there are so many displaced New England elders in Florida and, increasingly, the Carolinas.

You are, of course, talking about RL, and that you probably know this already, but . . . have you thought of renting at Virtual Harlem? It's a pretty cool sim . . . Harlem at the time of the Harlem Renaissance, in the 1920s. Not quite dirty or dangerous enough, but very evocative otherwise. And I am 90% certain that they rent apartments.

(There are a couple of dance halls, a theatre . . . a trolley . . . etc.)

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll stay south of us. I have my parents coming in for Christmas and it's a long drive. I was hoping for clear roads.
It looks oddly stationary, though

Good morning all. We are suppose to have upper 30s to upper 40s all week, with some clouds off and on, but not a drop of precip. With that much warmth, the last of the snow just might finally melt before Christmas day. It will be odd to have absolutely no snow on the ground at Christmas here.

And by the way, it looks like Pep is quite happy in his "prison" at Second Citizen. People are sending him food and attention, the poor thing.
From: Scylla Rhiadra
I'm sure he's waiting for a posse of his MANY "silent supporters" here ( ) to swoop down upon SCII in a daring daylight rescue. :p
From: Seven Okelli
No. He will charm them all, and they'll think, "What is with those idiots who complain about him? He's such a lovely man." and then they'll let him out.
From: Rioko Bamaisin
I'm afraid I might break a nail while typing in anger. Sorry Pep. :o

From: Love Hastings
I think he's already got Jen and Vivienne mostly convinced.

I don't think anyone has changed their mind about me over there, and I don't want them to.

Pep (What I want is attention and action regarding the moderation of a supposedly unmoderated forum; otherwise everyone there will soon be posting in fear.)

I get that anyway.

It's not an unmoderated forum Pep, it's lightly moderated. You were being a dick and ended up where you go for being one. I'm so happy you're proud of yourself.

Oh, I'm sorry Brenda....but boy, you do NOT want to be out on the roads today. I've got at least a foot of snow outside. I'll take some pics to share, but Soji's look just about how my place looked...about 3-4 hours ago.
