Cool, TY Josh. I love this stuff.

http://www.pdcomedy.com/UnintentionallyFunnyVideos.html

I have http://www.archive.org/index.php bookmarked too. The dating how to videos are great.

YW! Oh and another great thing about the moving images section of the internet archive is that many of them encoded in formats easily playable in-world. I've had film watching parties using that site. This film is one of my favourites and is really funny: http://www.archive.org/details/boys_beware

Oh don't remind me. I have a lunch date with Mom tomorrow, and she will want to go to WM. Of course, I will be in DSW and Bed Bath and Beyond whle she is in WM.

2 years ago, we were in NY, to attend my stepson's wedding. We were staying at the Embassy Suites in the financial district. Was a beautiful hotel, and very reasonable, for NY. Anyway, it had a small mall attached to it. It also had a free happy hour for guests. That was my downfall. My husband was at the wedding rehearsal, and I went to happy hour. After happy hour, I found/saw DSW in the small mall there. I had never seen a DSW before. I went nuts (having attended happy hour already didn't help) When I saw what I had done, the next morning,, I was very remorseful. :p I brought home 11 pairs of shoes from DSW. Since that time, I've learned they also have DSW here in California. I've never been back, I have no control there. Even without a happy hour I don't think I could be reasonable there. :o

Please may I quote this over in the thread where Scylla is trying to make an argument for "females" being as rational as men?

Yeah, but by then there will be some sort of medical breakthrough that will eliminate the need for glasses, contacts or laser surgery. Probably Retinax. And with my luck, I'll be like Jim Kirk and have an allergy to it.

I hope you can find a better hair piece than he did.

What Jimmy didn't know is Ralph that was sick. A sickness that was not visible like smallpox but no less dangerous and contagious. You see Ralph was a homosexual.

I'll be sure to wear a mask next time I visit Frisco. Angel might get upset if I caught that bug.

When this film was made smallpox was the most feared disease known to man.

I was drunk. That is what made me irrational.

ETA: I would wager that we could find a few instances where men had made some irrational decisions involving liquor? And posting this won't help in that other thread, Pep, Scylla is kicking your azz over there.

I noticed that while wearing my contacts I had started to be unable to read things close up. I could read them just fine w/o the contacts. I asked my eye doctor what was going on. He asked, "You really want me to tell you?" Of course, I do, I said. He replied: "You're getting old."

I coulda clocked him. :p
Apparently he thought he was being funny, when he was just being tactless. Good thing he's just an eye doctor, with a bedside manner like that.

If he were a surgeon

Patient: "Doctor, I'm in so much pain... what's wrong with me?"
Doctor: "You're dying."
Patient:

Malia,
Something I found out a long time ago, we are all dying, some are just doing it faster than others.

Part two of my hunt for prizes in the Chimney hunt is posted. Hunt location with picture of item modeled by me (as appropriate). Supposed to be 19-40, but became 19-29 as I couldn't find the hunt prizie at 30 (Boom), despite looking for long time. Now can't get back to sim. Basically means I'm done with the hunt, I guess. Since it is a "find LM to next place in prize found" type hunt.

http://quickchangelexxi.blogspot.com/2009/12/chimney-hunt-part-ii.html

One of the prizes had couple poses, and so Sonia came in world.

so, can you tell which one is Sonia, which Lexxi? *mew*

I liked your vid Rafe. I'm a big fan of retro advertising. Lots of interesting print ads here: http://community.livejournal.com/vintage_ads/

I've also been to some interesting documentary film festivals featuring "mental hygiene" films. One in particular was a genre of films shown in schools way back in the day that deal with social issues like how to behave on a date and the perils of homosexuality, pre-marital sex and illicit drugs. OMG they are so great. http://www.archive.org/details/coronet_instructional_videos

They are really worth checking out! Here's just one sampling "Are you popular?" http://www.archive.org/details/AreYouPo1947

Love these links - thanks!! :)

What are those candies called, they have a almond in the middle, no chocolate, and a hard candy shell, different colors. I want to say Marzipan but don't think that's right. I want to get some for someone for Christmas but cannot remember their name to search for them.

I was going to say the avi in slacks is Sonia, but then I was looking at the collar she was wearing, and I couldn't recall if Sonia wore one...so then I was thinking the avi in slacks was Lexxi.
