I have hot hands so rolling out a million balls and dipping them in sugar and cocoa powder ... so tedious!

Um... hot hands? What does that mean? Are you a hand model?

Do up a big batch of soft Molasses cookies....yummmmmm :p

ETA: Shopping....stocking stuffers left to get

Decorated sugar cookies, home made of course with cute stuff on top. I do them every year, missed doing them one year and family was really upset not to have them! I have a friend that does 'drunk baking' day every year; actually it's a black Friday thing for her and some friends; they get together early in the morning, like 2am, and start baking cookies; they bake and drink all morning; by the time the stores start opening, they are pretty far gone, and walk down to the nearby mall to shop for the bargains. ahhhh tradition........

Those of us who are cookie recipients, never know what we'll get, it's never boring!

It's huge. I couldn't believe the size of the thing when I got it out of the box. I was so busy paying atttention to all the individual components when I ordered it, I didn't pay too much attention to the case. It was funny hooking it up. "Ooh, what's this button for? What's this dial do? ooh, shiney!" :D

i approve of this posting. :D

@3 Try making shortbread, it's really simple with essentially only 4 ingredients but versatile enough that you can add things to it.

i don't even know what that is. LOL

i usually make candied walnuts, but alas the walnuts are not readily available to me this year. i really should have planned ahead and went to pick them up myself. i was a little sidetracked this autumn. :D

Of course, if men did this, can you imagine the criticism?

@Eli: Well I've never told anyone this but in reality I'm a 10,000 a day hand model http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ0x9gXD_qM

@3: What! You've never had shortbread cookies?! http://www.joyofbaking.com/shortbreads/shortbreadcookies.html

Oh and I'm so broke people, I finished the majority of my shopping today. I'm itching to not break open the Tony Hawk Ride Skateboard Wii game I bought for my nephew though lol.

And one last thing .. I made a video for you all where you can hear me sing! http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/xOYlzi9LiPRPKUUmfgRX

I googled "drunk with a credit card" -

This guy wasn't criticized:

He was asking a different question, ie "Can I lie and avoid my responsibilities?

Pep (As opposed to "I was so drunk I didn't realise that my bum looked big in this; can I return it?)

Shortbread is heavier than sugar cookies. Rich, buttery, to die for. The kind people's grandma used to make and her grandma too, and.........old recipes. But have to be from scratch to be all that. Sugar cookies are mere fluff by comparison.

Well, it IS a cute song (in a mildly fingernails-across-the-blackboard sort of way), but Josh was obviously following a little too closely that thread where we were discussing castration a few days ago . . .

I think the difference is sugar cookies have eggs in them, while shortbread has a higher ratio of butter to flour so they are really light in texture and melt in your mouth. Sugar cookies are sturdier too I think so easy to decorate if you wish, whereas shortbread easily crumbles and they tend to be made thicker. Shortbread usually only has butter, flour, sugar, pinch of salt and vanilla in them and lightly baked. They are delish but you kinda have to do a few more minutes of cardio for each one you eat. Most definitely a staple for me during the holidays.

And good morning, all. :)

Yum, those eggs in ham cups on the top look so good. (drool)

Cookies... the local newspaper printed a recipe for iced eggnog cookies a few days ago that I'm dying to try.

Josh, that video scares me.

/me grabs the shortbread cookies and runs away

Not quite what we usually mean, Josh, when we say "he really fills out his pants!"
