There was a beagle in a funny hat running around my store last night looking for a bandanna. I didn't see his tag to find his owner, but if you see him, tell him I have one for him. :)

I do not see a bandanna in that picture. ;) I can not look away from those large, round and glorious eyes. -- yes, eyes. What did you think I would say? :p

Boomer waves to Ben.

I told him, and he looked up, blinked and went back to playing with the leaf - which is looking a bit raggedy now.

I think thats his way of saying hi.

Good morning everyone!

So...I go to CNN this morning (I know...I know...but I'm getting better ;) ).

And what do my bleary eyes see?

Sometimes SL drama doesn't seem quite so bad......
Well what woman hasn't fantasized about doing this to one of those jerks who keeps coming on to every woman in at work?
From: Jerboa Haystack
It gets better.

The women were his wife, and girlfriends, who had found out about each other.

The man was arrested on unrelated charges and is currently in custody. He gave his testimony in this case in cuffs, and an orange jumpsuit.
See? Who can blame them?
From: Amaranthim Talon
Sticky situation indeed...
(someone had to say it)

On the other hand... if the girls all got together to cooperate for the Superglue party- maybe they could all end up friends? I know - I am such an optimist..
Why not? In my experience there is a lot more solidarity between women than seems to be popularly supposed.

It'll be on "Law and Order" next season. Of course in that version something will go wrong and he'll die.

Wow, Soji!! That must have been some night, musically speaking! :) Bummer on the no dance partners, though.

Love the new skin. You look amazing, and that pic is incredible. :)
Actually it's amazing no one wanted to dance with a guy who was looking like that...

OMFG!!

My Manager calls me last week, and mentions "some goverment meeting" happening in Pittsburgh on the 24th & 25th, aka- the G20.

He says we're working those days.

ROFLMAO!!!

Even supposedly sending me a Company ID badge... 'cuz we all know that a company ID badge over-rides US Government Security Clearances!!

UM, yea.

Lets see: Security zones set up by the Secret Service, schools & businesses in the area shutting down for 2 days, no parking within the city, Protesters (violent & non-).....

Anyone else think I'm getting 2 days off?
Wasn't this in your hometown last year, too??? :p
Hey Tod, does this boss have pointy hair?

The video on the homepage was so nauseating I couldn't bring myself to check the Youtube one. Pants that draw attention to the butt, and they couldn't find even one nice butt to film? Geez. Cute idea, though.

Oh, I love the group shot, but I really really love the pic of you, with your wing framing the photo on the wall. Yum.
Yay, thank you for seeing what I wanted the pic to do!

Ouch! I just read your blog, Claire. Good luck with the money issues! I really feel for you, girl.

One time when I was really struggling, and even buying food was a problem, an older friend said to me, "Oh, well! You only have *money* troubles!" as if I had nothing to complain about.

At that moment I wanted to smack him, but afterward I knew what he meant.

Toby Kieth - "Can't Buy You Money"
(I did not see a you tube link or anything so no video)

I got a sweet little woman at home
She knows that I love her true
I got three little kids on the floor
And they love there daddy too
I got one on the way and I don’t think I can pay the doctor bill
I never finished paying the last one off
Don’t guess I ever will

Yeah, we'd save it all up for a rainy day
But it’s always sunny
Guess all the happiness in the world
Can’t buy you money

I got an old work truck
It'll barely get me to town and back
I try to put in a little more over time
But that don’t pay no jack
So I bring it home
Were my baby got's my hot supper cooked
Then I lay down and rest my weary bones
And get back up at six

Just workin’ hard in the land of milk and honey
Hey, all the happiness in the world
Can’t buy you money

But if I had plenty
I could keep us afloat
Then in the end if my ship don’t come in
I’d just buy a bigger boat
I ain’t got no money
I’m knee deep in debt
We must be livin’ on love from above
Cause we ain’t hit bottom yet

I pick my paycheck up and go straight to the bank
That’s my usual route
Then I go home and pick up the wife and kids
Cause we’re goin’ out
It’s a drive through window
And pick out a combo super size
Swing on down to the walWmart
Let the kids pick out a prize
My truck broke down at the red light
She thinks it’s real funny
Yes, all the happiness in the world can’t buy you money

Yeah we'd save it all up for a rainy day
But it’s always sunny
Guess all the happiness in the world
Can’t buy you money
This is great. I'd like to hear the melody.

Life:
Explained
A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.
"Not very long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.
The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life."
The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
And the moral of this story is: .......... Know where you're going in life... you may already be there.

Cute doggie! But... WHAT were you burning in that fire?

Useless old wood the previous owner left in the shed...of course we found a few chemicals in there afterwards so they stopped.
My broter took the picture on my phone. He just told me the embers were actually deep red and he thinks the heat must have distorted the image.

Ok, I keep hearing about the forums shutting down or moving or whatever. What's going on? I'm so out of the loop its scary, did I miss a blog post or announcement?
(probable, since I never read the blog anyway)

Have we been given a date or anything? I don't want to turn up one day and find out all my friends have disappeared and left me behind lol.
