From: Rhonda Huntress This came out much darker than I first thought. I turned the facelight off and used the room lighting because I thought it looked warm and blended with me and the background. It would be trivial to do a little postwork and brighten it up but I have been doing shots straight from SL for so long I feel like it is my thing now. I think it's a fab picture. You look gorgeous - love your eyes!

From: Treasure Ballinger Mayo, for me, instead of ketchup. Mayo and fries is a German thing? Something my ex husband passed onto me, which he learned he said, from his military days in Germany. Only thing he ever showed me that I actually liked. It's a Belgian thing originally, I believe, Treasure. Pep (They haven't found out abroad, Claire, about just salt and vinegar on chips - in newspaper of course. )

There is another name for grits you might know them as. Polenta is the same thing but grits is usually served plain compared to the northern Italian dishes for polenta.

lol, hold the vinegar for me Pep, I'm fussy about my potato products and that stuff hurts my nose too much to consider eating it on chips. Newspaper is a must though.
I've never had polenta Rhonda, I live a sheltered food life lol.

It tends to be a bit of a French Canadian thing here along with poutine (fries, cheese curds and gravy - I know it looks a bit gross but it's good) I really miss the late night gourmet fry place I used to go to after the bar which had the best fries done properly where they are double fried. They were served in a paper cone and you had a huge selection of flavoured homemade mayos like roasted garlic or fresh ground peppercorns. NOM NOM

We went to the movies and saw "9" last night. It is very well done and a good show. It can be predictable and I thought it was short because I was just getting to know all the characters when it ends. I think it is a very good family show - and not just a kid's show either.

Thank you, Seven and Claire. I was rather proud of that portrait.
Oh, Duh! I am loosing my mind. The reason I mentioned the movie is because of the girl doll "7" and it made me wonder what our Seven would think if she sees the movie.

Cody's Bachelor's Noodles Recipe #8
1 bag egg noodles, wide 1/2 pound of sliced bacon 1 pint cottage cheese
Set water to boil; add egg noodles and boil to desired tenderness. Slightly al dente is best in my opinion, but it works either way and the choice is yours. While noodles boil, slice bacon into small slivers, about a quarter to a half an inch wide, and fry until crispy. Remove noodles from heat; drain, do not rinse. Return to pot; add bacon and mix thoroughly. Serve hot, top with 3 tablespoons of chilled cottage cheese.
---------------------
I once stopped at a Denny's off the highway in North Carolina when I was a RL kid. The waitress we had seemed almost offended that I wanted hash browns and not grits.

One of the vendors is making fantastic fries as you wait, and mayo is on the table for them

I always choose grits when I have the option in restaurants. Denny's offers grits 'In Certain Areas' (really, it says just that on the menu). North Carolina must be one of those 'areas'.

From: Treasure Ballinger It IS a heart attack on a plate. I admit to having done it though, flouring, seasoning bacon, before frying. My mom used to do it occasionally, sort of a special occasion thing. (hey, it's heart attack day!) It's very good, unfortunately. I'll try anything, once... /me grabs some coffee and a plate and heads for Treasure's place
