Today is the start of the school year in my neighborhood...so this is in honor of everyone who either loves..or loathes...the return of the little ones to the indoctrination camps.

I never had any teachers that looked like that.

Yes, I've seen pictures of those Schoolmarms in the history books.

Both the thread asking about what people do in RL (featuring Ciera's inflammatory bio), AND the "Haters" thread she started in response, have disappeared.

I take it back Lord, there IS a God! Or at least a moderator ...

So, what went on over the weekend? Should I even bother looking?
Just skim the pictures

I'm looking at used books on amazon.com, and a lot of the old stuff I'm looking for is available for ONE PENNY (plus shipping) from some suppliers. These vendors have good ratings, but the price is so ridiculous I have trouble trusting it.

Has anyone bought books online for prices like these?

.
They are usually charging $2-5 for shipping and it does not cost them that much because they use the Media Mail pricing, which is pretty cheap and slow. I've bought some old fantasy reading books at those prices.

I have and haven't ha a problem..although I've never gone as low as that. I wouldn't buy textbooks though if you are taking any classes..a lot of times they are not up to date for the course.
You can even buy textbooks that way as long as you verify which edition you need for the class against the edition being sold. My daughter buys almost all of her college books on various used book sites now -- but the college is also very good at putting out the info on the exact edition / publication date needed.

I see many vanity pics in here, and I was beside myself as to if I should post one or not... well I won, I posted one, so I guess I can just go deal with it.

(now if that did not confuse you, then you are doing better than I am, it confused me and made total sense doing it) heh
(for those not used to my twisted sense of humor, I was making a play on the beside myself comment) *grin*

not a problem (it was fun taking it heh)

I could have done it an easier way, just use an alt with the exact same shape, skin, clothes, boots... oops, would have to buy the hair again LOL)

The rest... I made (makes it easy to make a twin that way) but in this case, I just took the two pics and superimposed them onto the background

That makes sense. At first I was excited (and suspicious), "a penny a piece!" and then the charge was $8 in the end anyway.

Good morning, Threadies! Before I start looking at the thread's overnight activities, here's a little nibble. It comes to you from a hotel in Bahrain. :)
