I see that the website has gone to the portal view. At first glance it seems pretty nice. But how is it after the second glance?

I still like, others are not fond of the colors. I would think that in the end we will be able to choose from different color schemes. It looks like Xstreet tried to copy the theme but ... not so well. It was most likely a rush job.

So, what went on over the weekend? Should I even bother looking?

Various pictures, of course.
3Ring and Eli are an "official" item now ;)
Clover posted a link to a picture set of Mari's fireworks show. The show was nice but I mention it because my girl is a little introverted and I love it when she starts posting; it means she is feeling comfortable here. :)

Second day in a row the train to work unloaded me. Oh, and the other passengers, the other sardines. At least today we stopped so far from my station that I didn't walk. Like I did on Friday. 15 or 10 blocks. It was cooler than normal. I, though, was quite warm by the time I got to the building.

Today the train was a little too far, a little too close to work for me to just go home and sleep. That and I took a day off last week.

The whole coupling thing, this here is a new subject, confuses me. Who is with who, when, where, etc. I'm also, also new subject, curious as to while Eli is alternately bald, very closely shaven, a short mohawk and fully covered head. In different pictures.

Hi threadians! Hope everybuggy had a super weekend an has a fun week ahead!

I was in my First Life a lot this weekend, so I did't get to do so much in world. Still found some time, though.

I stopped in on AM Radio's sim, an did a little bit of random piccie taking. Really kinda liked this one a bit:

And I also stopped for a portrait-y thing:

I did my usual Saturday fireworks, or usual until next weekend. With the end of Summer comes the end of my Summer firework shows. Here's a shot of one of my views from the show:

And here's a shot from a more audience view of things

I also caught a morning concert today with Cylindrian Rutabaga and Beth Odets. I saw them at SLCC, an it was nice to see them in SL, too:

An that's about it! Hope ya'll have a good night or a good morning, depending on where ya'll are!

I also got to 'hear' Cylindrian and Beth yesterday, they played for the SLCC Artathon Benefit wrap up party for Filthy Fluno and Winter Nightfire. Those 2 raised over $1,000 USD for Virtual Ability, with the art they made and sold at SLCC.

Eli was just the cutest little cloud, but when he sat in the plane, i could see his legs and feet. was funny!

Morning Threadworld!

Well- I have been less than here lately for various reasons- some RLish some SLish and some just fed up with crap falling in here - but since I had such a wondrous Sunday I thought I would take a tentative visit.

'Cause, you know what they say about home? It's that place they HAVE to take you, if you HAVE to go. And I just missed you guys so...

/me waves and hugs you. i have missed you (although, i've been rather absent myself, i admit)

Good Morning Thread-strangers!

I'm back from that RL thing called "vacation". And did you know that the Poconos are almost as pretty as some places in SL? If only "e" would have let me fly my bike over some of those hills.

I see that the website has gone to the portal view. At first glance it seems pretty nice. But how is it after the second glance?

Anyway...*wave wave* I'm back.

*scurries back to his spot under the couch* I'll just be here if you need me. :)

welcome home, lil mousey! we missed ya! some of us more than others.... ;)

I have been in the isnsurance industry for over 20 years. I have been a medical claims processor, auditor, new business underwriter, vocational rehabilitation specialist, operations manager and a disability management specialist.

@Ciera - I can see where some folks maybe offended by your original post. I wasn't. I found it to be very matter of fact. I live in the hood and know some people that takes great pride in their err.... activities/professions. What is preceived as cockiness by some could be just your level of self confidence. In your posting your tone is just like theirs and they make no apologes. You found something that you were good at and you took it to another level. With anyone's choose profession it takes that kind of drive and self confidence to get to the top. I'm not condoning yours nor theirs chosen line of work, I'm just sayingt.

For those who's life was impacted by individuals in that profession, I can only imagine what you went through and very much sees your point(s) of view.

I just have one question for Ciera. Is Ron Jeremy really packing like that or was that the camera angle? Inquiring minds want to know and if you want to respond send me a PM.

@Brenda - a few other updates:

- Lexxi's viewer has been freezing for some damn reason

I found out in group chat that the newest Firefox browser (heh, this thread originally was about FF) isn't letting go of the memory, or something complicated like that. So if you have FF open in the background, eventually SL will freeze because it isn't getting the memory it needs.

Not sure if that is correct in my particular situation, but after freezing and restarting 13 times, I haven't had the issue after the FF thing was pointed out to me and I turned off FF. By freezing, I do not, and did not mean jerky motion, or frozen for a moment or two then SL moving again. I meant SL completely frozen and not usable.
