Wonderful. I love the bagpipes. :) And it's a great pic, with the sea and the sunset behind you. :)

Jer, welcome back from you vacay, it sounds lovely... you were missed, though. :D

CX and I celebrated all weekend, starting on Thursday. We really had a wonderful time all weekend, and enjoyed seeing everyone so much, Monday is quite the letdown this week! Sorry we missed Mari's fireworks though, and since I'll be travelling next weekend, it's pretty doubtful whether I'll catch the last show. I'm taking my laptop though, so we shall see.

Today is the start of the school year in my neighborhood...so this is in honor of everyone who either loves..or loathes...the return of the little ones to the indoctrination camps.

I love your mom! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would pay for her help (and probably still save money). Although I bet she's plenty successful at whatever she does.

When my spouse and I were planning our wedding he told me where there was a place that sold "seconds" of Gunne Sax and Jessica McClintock dresses. That was one time I enjoyed trying on clothes and I ended up with a long white Victorian style dress with lace and satin and the whole 9 yards for less that $20. He's really good at researching products and bargains.


Gunne Sax. . .geez, it's been a long time since I've thought of those, lol. Thanks for the memory Kaimi. BTW, if you don't mind stating, how long have you been married to your sweetie?

This made me think of the final scenes of The Hunger which were shot at London's Barbican Tower.
