The other nicest guy in the world, my husband, a professional singer and musician, has always encouraged me and sang with me. Now at age 61, I actually occasionally get compliments on my voice. Although my range is still ridiculously small and hitting the right note always iffy. If you can walk you can dance. If you can talk you can sing. (I love dancing and singing.)

Thanks  The hat is from a different outfit. And I had to spend about 15 minutes, or more, moving the hair so that it wouldn't poke through the hat. That modified hair is now labeled something like hat hair. The hat and the eye-patch have the same attachment point, so I couldn't wear both at the same time. Looking at one of the pictures, though, it looked like black sunglasses. And suddenly I wished I had been wearing black sunglasses. heh. Hat is from Laqroki. Hair is from . . . one of the free hairs at Callie or ETD. eyepatch is from a full avatar from Tuli. Coat is from Truth, I think. I know I put one on from there, but I also put some others on. Pants are from PM, I think. That black band around my belly is also actually from a different outfit. You can see the boots in one shot, but I do not recall where they came from, as I was quickly looking at boots and flicking through them quickly when I put on shoes. |

You know, critters pull at our hearts. After we had to let the first dog go, I swore no more. However the remaining dog (the one that is really old now) was so lonely he howled all the time, so we broke down and got another dog. When she got sick after a few years and we had to let her go, I did not really want another one because of the heartache of losing them, but I also could not leave the old dog with no other dog for company -- he apparently really needs a buddy. Unless something really odd happens to the newest dog, the old one will pass on first and I **think** the newest one will be okay as an only dog.
Yep - I shed far more tears over those two dogs and a cat than I did over a few relatives that passed on. Truth be know, I almost celebrated them finally be totally out of my life.
. I agree. When I put my beloved Bear down several years ago, I said no more. But as I go into middle age  , I find it's nice to have somone to help me protect the homestead. So it was either a dog or a man, and the dog seemed to be a better bargain.

Would you rather be a famous singer where everyone knows who you are or a famous writer where people only know your name? I'd love to be able to sing without the cats crying, but since I dont think I could handle the fame, I'd choose writer. Plus, I'd be able to stay at home and work

If you can walk you can dance. If you can talk you can sing. (I love dancing and singing.) This is so true (about singing anyway)! It always burns me up to hear children being discouraged from singing or making music... Unless you are totally tone deaf, you can learn to carry a tune, you can develop a larger range, and learn techniques of voice production. In fact, you can learn a lot just by singing, especially in a group.
