Elora- I so hope we can meet up then!

Amara, Ghosty and I would try and make a point to meet up with you.

So as far as getting to Miami and the port, Ghosty says to me "Oh! We should take a train down to Miami when we go!" I'm like, what are you insane? We can be there in less than 4 hours on a plane, including the ride over to the airport. Why on earth would I want to waste 24 hours on an Amtrak to Miami?

His reponse was "It seems romantic".

Awww. A girl almost can't refuse that. But, knowing the trip to Florida on a train isn't quite romantic, I'll pass. Let alone the price will be the same, if not more. Somehow a train trip seems better suited to someplace out west, not the northeast corridor potentially with a bunch of screaming kids running up and down the aisles for a full day, heading to Disney. What a nightmare :p

I use to take the train down to Florida all the time. Personally, I loved it. But this was before the children and when you could get rip roaring drunk in the dining car all night and smoke to your hearts content. Meeting other such deviants in dining car. One time I got stuck in NC in an ice storm for nine freakin hours. I think that is when I stopped liking it:p

Warning: long post, with old quotes.
From: Fayruz Bashir
I have slain a transformer.

None of the galleries seemed to work, so I slide it in here in this giant thread. That no one reads, of course, since it says to ignore it. And it does mention death, and I have slain a transformer, so it seemed to fit that death theme.

My congratulations on your hard-won battle! :) Welcome to the thread, and for your first post here:

Thank you for oohing and star. Sorry for long delay in response to your response.

I do not know how many pictures I have on Flickr, it only shows me 200, because I am not pro any longer. This is one of the pictures 'missing but on there' that I do not have access to any longer.

I'm not crazy about flying either. I'd much prefer the train to be truthful but it takes too damn long, so, I suffer the anxiety of flight and all the annoyances which go along with it. I do love the end result, however. It never stopped me from booking any vacation :D

Her eyes showing arousal, fear, or both, she responds with "What . . what seems to be the problem, officer?"

Oh, here is an emotion one. Without smiling.

Capri's? I must have missed that one. OK:

So many of my sentences anymore seem to start with the words: "When I was young...". But anyway. Back in the fifties we called these pants "peddle pushers" and "capris" were close fitting tapered pants that ended at the ankle.

eta - I love this picture.

I've quite enjoyed the long train trips I've taken SINCE I'VE BEEN OLD, but I think I would like to try one of those private compartment "bedrooms".

That was part of his plan :D

I would love to do a long train trip, it's one of those vacations I've dreamed of but not an overnighter to Florida for cripes sake, that's a waste. There are several really good one that friends have mentioned to me in New Mexico, for instance if I remember correctly. Week long, relaxing trips with amazing vistas; a photographers dream. That, would be well worth it!

:-) Since my husband is 6'6" and no longer all that skinny, I'm not sure how romantic we'd find it. Not even sure if he could fit in the bed - but it might be more comfortable than trying to sleep in seats in coach.

Professions?

With all respect to those that have had cause to resort to one lately (and this is where I'll link and not embed, out of that respect) - the dandy undertaker:

I'm not seeing this outfit on any of the blogs (which seem to be focusing on 'normal guy' stuff like jeans and shirts), and that's a crying shame because it's probably my favourite so far from the Make Him Over Hunt. NachtMusik lists itself as "a dandy shop" and it certainly is. The textures in this suit are gorgeous, and how fabulous it is for me to find a clothier in SL that knows about classic (non-BDSM, non-kink) male corsetry!

Edited to give credits:

Outfit: NachtMusik - Make Him Over Hunt gift
Hat: MadeForYou - HighHat
Necklace & Eye Veil: a.C Store - Like a Prayer (part of outfit)
Shoes: Redgrave - Aviator Loafers
Hair: eXceSs - Badcut
Eyes: Genesis - Zbilja - Hazel
