For those that like to read the ramblings of others, I've started a blog where I can chronicle my SL explorations (and thereby free my PC of thousands of screenshots).
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/

I want to acknowledge and thank Natalia Zelmanov, whose Mermaid Diaries blog was my inspiration to get started.

Malia, you now have 1 follower :)

Nice blog!

/me hauls himself in from almost three hours of Extreme Gardening, hands shaking from chopping, hacking, pruning, mowing, digging and various other -ings, and flops on the bed for a snooze.

eta: I see I am not the only one thinking along those lines.

ETA - Yes, super hawt, Mo.

Because your husband was snoring loudly in your ears? (umm, not saying who was in mine :p )
Umm, pillow over his head can work wonders. If you still hear it, press a bit harder on the pillow.

@Skell - that describes what my morning will be like as soon as I pour enough coffee in to keep the eyes open and make the body move. Get some good snoozes.

I will admit to snoring as well. We both do on occassion. However, he was out last night with some work friends, got in kind of late. Woke me up of course as he crawled into bed. I never really got good sleep afterwards. I'm one of those people that if I'm woken up from a deep sleep, I have a lot of trouble going back. But he sure was out of it, by the sound of him :p So, by 7ish, I had enough, went out and made a pot of coffee. And came here to see who else was awake. Obviously, several of us.

/me passes around more mugs of steaming hot coffee for all.

/me laughs. An advantage to being deaf.......you don't hear snoring, your own or other people's. I sleep like a baby every night. Another advantage, in the heat of an argument, just before 'he' is about to make his big point, I whip off my hearing equiipment and dangle it in front of him. He sputters.......stops, glares and stomps off fuming, because he knows it's pointless to continue....

Is fun........:)

Guys, I just wanted to announce that I'm officially starting to move over to SLU. I'll stay here, with limited posting, for the existence of the SL Forums, but I'm tired of all the bullshit re: the future of these Forums. Love to you all.

*waves sadly*

(P.S. I'll still probably follow this thread, of course!!)

Hey there, Threadies - just got back from my Saturday rounds, starting with an emissions inspection for my car at 8 am. :)

When I got home, I was fiddling with Flickr, and I accidentally deleted the pic I posted last night. I've replaced it, but that's why any post in which the pic was "quoted" may have one of those Flickr "cannot be found" messages.

Anyway, a little late brunch:

Gee, two weeks with almost no forum posts from Lindal.

Brief explanation: Week One, I was on vacation. I was at home, and at my computer, but I spent almost all my screen time actually in world. Forum posting is what I do when I'm at work. Or I should say, what I *did*, because...

Week Two, my workplace put SL back on the prohibited sites list. They've done that before, but usually just for a day or so. This time it looks like maybe they are serious, or whoever the closet SL addict in the IT department was, has left.

Darn it.

Boo hiss! I'm sorry you've been in lockdown. :(

But I'm glad you had a good at-home vacation! :)

Besides, who can't wait one more day? :)

Good night threadies. Continue this amazing thread tomorrow :)

Today's Google Doodle is brilliant:

It's celebrating 25 years of Tetris.

I remember when someone I know had Tetris installed on their work PC, and it came with a fake spreadsheet which would pop up on the monitor, when you hit the "Escape" key. :p

I'm with you, Punkin. LL can take their new forum, blog, answers popularity contest and whatever else they come up with and go felgercarb themselves. I'm not interested in anything "official" with their name on it from this point on. They almost had me back before this latest chapter of nonsense. Now it just remains to be seen how much of a whitebread, corporate wasteland SL turns into. It may be time to go investigate some of those other places.

I'm back to billions of pictures to upload, so here are some I've uploaded so far, well samples from said uploads.

"whatever could you mean? Oh . . this ball? This ball is yours? Oh. It's . . it's my ball now!"

The following conversation did not occur:
"You know I'm a sex toy, right?"
"Yes, I can read."

"Nothing like a naked woman pouring water on our heads, eh, Mistress?"
