The problem is that I really did spill some Coke on it. We took it all apart and washed the keyboard, but I still have a few keys that are not working properly. The Geek Squad suggested I call Asus directly and order a new keyboard - they said it would be far cheaper that way, since my husband can handle dismantling laptops and putting them back together. Unfortunately, the keyboards are on back-order and I am not sure for how long.


I want to get one of those ones with the backlight and all pretty. I am so afraid though I'll spill something on it. I refuse NOT to drink at my keyboard,so that is not an option. I almost bought an eighty dollar one for WOW.(Keyboard actually programmed for Wow) Yeah I'm not much of a geek...:rolleyes:

I have a backlit keyboard for my desktop (love it) and a desktop keyboard really is a lot more durable. I've only had this one a few months and have already dumped Coke, wine, and a variety of foods on it -- and absolutely no problems came from it. Unfortunately, laptop keyboards are much more delicate and freakin picky about how you treat them.

OMG!!!! I finally went to see "Star Trek" last night. It was one of the best movies I've seen in years.

I so want to see it again this weekend!!!!!
