1. Being the biggest complainer doesn't prove you have had the worst luck.
2. If you have had the worst luck the first thing you need to do is stop complaining about it over and over. No one likes people who do that and it doesn't improve your luck.

Well running it off the main machine now vs an old desktop... that hard drive managed to hit the same range as an anime schoolgirl huffing helium as I walked in the door.


Anyone need a Pentium 166 for a boat anchor?

My comment was in response to yours, that others could not "say a magic word" and make things better. Yet they could do whatever that person did, because.. well.. they did it.

When people shift context in this way, I tend to believe they're trying to avoid helping.

I had tears in my eyes reading that! People can be so stupid and stuck on rules, it makes no sense at all. I probably would have skipped dinner altogether at that point. On the other hand, I haven't had canned ravioli since I'm a kid. For nostalgias sake, it may have made me feel a wee bit better :o

I think I'd like a lot about Canada - but the weather is a deal-breaker for me. :p ditto New Jersey of course...

The weather is, generally, horrible. Much like a lot of northern US, of course. Putting the dreary aside, the BC/Vancouver area seems to be the most moderate weather we can muster.

Awwwww...now Elora, Canada really is a nice place...well, the West Coast anyway. Lush, green and almost tropical.... ummm...well...we did have a wee tiny bit of snow around Christmas but it's almost all melted now.:D

And we've modernized a bit more now than say last year - igloos were declared unsafe and OOO... we got a traffic light system...AND.....AND... we got a Starbucks... (nods)... yep....
