See? Even talking to me is considered an action for which someone can be required to apologize... how would that make you feel?

No silly- she meant draggin the vibes in here-

Mine too, even some of my PM's, but I don't care, lol. I still have a blast in here. I'm usually not saying anything all that deep anyway, lol

Ooops no quote, that was a response to Seven....

Hmmm. You know, I haven't had the opportunity to try out the famous The Thread duct tape and ropes yet. Think Damien would mind??

OK at the risk of being just a tad redundant... NO ONE but you can CHANGE anything - not your desire to do, your level of engagement, your enjoyment of the action or your pain when it goes bad-

Again.. they can.. they can not:
* be posting about how helping me is fruitless and a waste of time.
* constantly be telling me I shouldn't expect to succeed at anything, ever.
* be playfully joking at each other about my behaviour.
* have people apologize or regret even joining a thread I'm in.

Those experiences have changed me.

Hello Threadites. We have pretty much walked the entire southern part of the island now. Tomorrow we fly back to Madrid and then Fri we will fly back to the states.

If I have internet tomorrow at the hotel, I'll say Hi.

*hugs*

:)
Hugs, Lil. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Glad to see you Lil- How wonderful you are having fun :) We will be right waiting for you when you get back! Knock 'em dead and have some tapas for me!
We actually had dinner at a tapas place last night - sampled about 6 different things and loved most of them.

I was meant to dine like that - I seldom make it off the appetizers menu :D

...so I'm all packed and ready to go on my trip to London *excited*

Have to be up at 6.30am tomorrow though - not so much fun.
Poor Lewis. /Some/of us has already been up 90 min then... ;)

I better not do any work on pictures tonight. I am not a happy Marianne with less that 6 hours sleep. Of course, sometimes I am tempted to stay up!

Tonight's project. I was the last person to hit the Midnight Mania board at this store yesterday, and I sent it into lockdown. Bloody glad I did, because this skin is amazing (and no longer available, as far as I know).

Background for the first picture is by Katiya Rhode-Singh:

It needed very little accessorising, because the cracking on the skin was perfect (yes, those are cracks; I don't 'do' chest hair ;)). I just added an off-white lace collar and long gloves:

Fantastic pics, Skell! Wow, they just keep getting better...and I'm so jealous of that skin!

Now for something completely different.

Went for my interview today which went very well. Essentially, it seems like the job is mine for the asking. They told me they are not "shopping" for anyone else, based on what my resume and recommendations were. Lunch was very pleasant (Delmonico, downtown NYC - one of those old time kind of "men's" fancy steakhouse joints, where everyone knows your name lol), we had a lot to discuss. We all agreed to "digest" the conversation and get in touch with our thoughts and it was also mentioned that I should call the current office manager to discuss getting in touch with her directly to have a talk about the direction of the office, possibly a lunch with her too. I took all of this as a positive sign. I can't imagine why I wouldn't take this position, it seems like a good fit for me, the office is thriving, the prinicipals appear to be people I can work for and the benefits are good. I'm sure I'll be calling them tomorrow to let them know I would like to be part of their team.

In the meantime - I have blisters on the backs of my heels that are killing me! Anyone have a good remedy? Damn shoes were nice and low but never fully worn in and I'm regretting wearing them now but good :(

Get some Johnson's foot soap and soak them. That stuff works magic.

Congratulations. :)
