Well, my stuff is staged by the door. Throw on workout clothes, grab my stuff and go. Clean up after the workout, wander to our cafe to grab a bagel on the way to my desk, and voila!

I own two of your pieces, and have seen more. You most certainly are an artist.

Lexxi. Send me a LM to where i can buy some art. Just got a house and need some nice things in it. Who cares what others say... if you love what you do and it's creative... then you are an artist.

Don't be sad Lexxi. You certainly are an artist. Your work is lovely, and very much your own.

I can see where the the opinion is valid in some respects; that art created in SL might be a separate entity from art created in RL that gets imported into SL, however, that does NOT negate the fact that someone who brings THEIR OWN art into SL is indeed still an artist.

Don't let that comment discourage you. Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to this, and obviously your work is selling and that in itself, is all that matters.

Well geez Lexxi...I think that everyone here considers you an artist, so whoever told you that can take a flying leap. I actually have my eye on one of your pieces right now, just deciding where I want to put it...home or my office...and will more than likely buy it tonight.

Based upon the criteria that I import artwork that I did in real life and "slap it on a canvas and maybe give it a frame". Instead of "REAL" Second Life art that is done in world.

Thanks, heh. I do not have a slurl handy. Both gallery locations are in my picks. One in HoneyBear's mall, and one in Prim Savers.

They are both art, just different styles.

I imported them to show them. I keep taking my gallery down, though, when I notice that no one seems to be wandering by. Both galleries up seem to have visitors, so I'm happy (people seem to visit the gallery if it is in a mall or a department in a store, but not when it is by itself; or maybe people do not like parks, heh, I always put up a park and insert my art into it somehow or another).

For example . . . Darn. I do not seem to have a picture of my stone henge/ruins gallery that actually shows it.

Oh, here we go

Oh, and I noticed in that second picture - it contains one of the actual art pieces I made in world (that giant flower). I've actually made art in world, but I've never tried to sell.

Lexxi, anything that is creative in my eyes is artistic. It's something I could never do and wouldn't even know how to begin. I will head over tonight to take a look and will definitetly pick up a few pieces to display in my home. You are an artist to those who matter... your friends

Yea, sometimes I think you have to play around with venues to see what works. Personally I like when art is displayed outdoors, particularly when it's sculpture. There is a place in upstate NY called Storm King; acres and acres of parkland with gigantic sculptures by famous artists. It's an amazing place to spend the day.

BTW, I love that Stonehenge idea tho. I think it's very effective. The last time I went to one of your galleries, it was only in a small room, that was several months ago. You've obviously expanded quite a bit since then. I'll have to take another peek too!

Art is subjective, so don't let one person's opinion sway you in any direction. I look at what a lot of people gush over as art in RL and scratch my head, so just keep doing what you do. If people like it, and even better, buy it, that's all that matters.

Ooo I forgot to mention. I am getting two kitties tomorrow,I wasn't supposed to get them for another few weeks, but the momma cat ran away:( And the guy who has them has been feeding them and stuff by bottle. He has 6 of them so he is kind of getting overwhelmed. So he asked me if I could take mine early. So I am. I'm excited but kind of skeered.I don't want to hurt the little guys. They were born on the 3rd. Any advice or experience to share with me....please do so.:p

just make sure you give them that good, rich milk that the vet prescribes and keep them nestled in a warm, safe place a lot. i would suggest getting them to the vet asap and follow their directions. i think you are so lucky. i've never had a baby kitty so young, but always wanted one. love love love to your new babies. :D pixpls
