4 sims worth of Hieronymus Bosch inspired madness. It's going to take weeks to plow through this one!

Bosch gives me nightmares... but yeah running that way right now! sounds very creative - I'll pass on the pig roast though- careful - let's not call THAT word in here...

I have no idea what is happening here today, been too busy at work for a change but just wanted to say hi to everyone!

Tomorrow I intend to spend nearly the whole day in The Garden of Earthly Delights, with a new friend, who is both earthy and delightful. That is if the laptop doesn't keep crashing on me like it was last night.

Has anyone been there yet? I popped in last night for a bit and was amazed already at what I saw. Rode a fire breathing swan for a while, had puti flying around my head as the devil looked on, was roasted like a pig on a spit, took a ride in a space ship, got lost in a field of grass, and other wonderous things.

4 sims worth of Hieronymus Bosch inspired madness. It's going to take weeks to plow through this one!

I will need to take a gander at this. tx

And..am I the only one whose handwriting has suffered because of computers? (not that I am giving up my PC, mind you!) Good lord, sometimes my handwriting scares me.

Nah.... Mine devolved loooooong ago when I learned to type on an old manual typewriter. I miss the rhythm of those things. tick tick tick tick SLAP ZING!!! :)

Then years later, working at a Mail Order Pharmacy, my hand writing devolved further from being around & seeing & reading Doctor's hand writing. Left that job with the ability to decipher what they wrote on the prescription pad!!

Handwriting? Ugh. My hands are so worn out from 20 some odd years of typing, it's a pity truly. I've had so many cortisone shots in my wrist from DeQuervains (sp?) syndrome, and let us not go into carpel tunnel, ulner nerve issues, etc.; all which come and go.

But the funny thing is I can still type like the wind to the point where I was in the Hangout one night, with no lights on in my living room and suddenly realized I was typing/chatting away like nobodys business! That's some serious touch typing. But put a pen in my hand and I go relatively spastic now

Hehe, how about a telex machine? I used to use those, with the little dots of paper flying all over the place? Talk about dating oneself...

/me grabs the Thread's controls and wrenches it off on another tangent.

Dogs.

I have a cute yellow Lab from Zooby's, but I don't rez her very often. The problem is, she never DOES anything on her own. Having her around is like running an NPC in an oldstyle tabletop RPG...a lot of extra work.

Yesterday, I saw what seemed to be a very smart Doberman. It turned out to be from the Virtual Kennel Club, so I went to check out their dogs. They do indeed have dogs with some artificial intelligence...they "notice" people and objects and other dogs, and go over to sniff them. They eat and drink when they need to. They howl when they get lonely (not a very realistic howl, VKC should upload a better sound clip. But eerie and lonely once you realize what it is.) I had fun playing fetch with a black Lab there. The dogs have a very nice "Pet Me" animation, in which your av bends over to pet the dog. There's supposed to be some "learning" features, but I didn't see these demonstrated or explained.

I would've bought a dog, but for a couple of drawbacks....

- They are VERY expensive, in the range of L$5000 to L$8000. And I don't understand why there is such a large price variation. Nothing I saw indicated that some of the dogs had more features than others.

- The black Lab I saw could have looked more realistic. He was OK, but at that price I would expect a better conformation. And my other favorite breed, the German Shepherd Dog, wasn't on the menu.

Lindal, I have to agree with you on this.

I bought a cute Pomerian from Zoobys that I love but I'm not happy with the performance at all.

I had been at VKC a couple of months back and played with their dogs and loved them but they were SO expensive so I backed off.

Really wish I'd just took the plunge and got one of those now. The Zoobys looks great, but the VKC's really "acted" more realistic. They were all over the place, running around begging for attention! I think I might go back there and get one anyway...

Zooby dogs look better, more realistic.
Who cares if your puppy's smart if it looks like a troll.
I don't mind paying a few bucks more, but whatever the price, it needs to look like a dog.

/me wags his tail happily at Isabeau..

Lindal, maybe the price difference is in some extra animations.. like one that gets the dog to come over and sniff your crotch insistently, or the very popular leg humping animation. Also, maybe the expensive ones are trained and won't chew your shoes up if you keep them in your inventory too long.

That is an odd dream. In mine I was at an airport and planes kept crash landing and then an earthquake started but seemed to last for ages, then I woke up. Very disturbing really.

Guess this is a good time for a question...Whats the oddest/most disturbing dreams people have had recently?

I dreamed that Isabeau was scratching behind my ears and grabbed me by the hair with both hands and kissed my nose.. I wouldn't say that was a nightmare though.. a strangely pleasant dream overall. Made me want to lick her face.

I have 2 types of dreams ... at least that I remember.

Violent dreams.
Sexual dreams.
Sometimes both at the same time.

I really wish I was joking.
