Any pizza is a good pizza. ![]() (except if it has anchovies) (and even then, I can pick 'em off) I love anchovies, but on pizza, not so much. By the time they get cooked, they dry up and become like cardboard. Not so appealing. But I'd take it over canned pineapple chunks anyday ![]() _____________________

Hey you guys...if you've not seen Lexxi's art in the Prim Savers' Art Gallery....you should. It's amazing. I spent some time there yesterday afternoon.

But only in New York. If you aren't, steer clear of any place claiming to sell "New York" pizza. Hehe, so true. We have a place in Rahway, called "Brooklyn Pizza". It is pretty good, but it isn't really a NY pizza by any means. It's brick oven, very thin crust, fresh mozzerella - more a fancy pie than what I'm used to, tho it's the best in town that I've found thus far. _____________________

Admittedly, I have never had NY pizza in NY,so I say this with that in mind. There is a restaurant in the North End in Boston that makes the absolute best pizza in the world that is supposed to be NY style pizza.

LOL...I was born in NY...and I repeat....Bleh. Give me a Chicago deep dish pizza any day! (Spoken from the confines of Dallas, where pizza is less than wonderful as well) That's a different pizza built for a different purpose. That is meant to be eaten sitting down, with a knife and fork, it's a meal. New York style is meant to be a portable meal, to be eaten quickly and on the go. I proper thin crust slice should be just crisp enough to withstand the toppings, and no droop or break apart when folded. _____________________

Yeah Rahway is on the fringe of the good pizza perimeter. It's usually the crust that fails, it gets doughy and soggy. Brick oven pizza is great, I've been to Brooklyn Pizza's other locations, but it isn't the classic corner pizzaria pie I am talking about. It's like The Original Ray's on 11th and 6th. Not to be confused with Ray's Original. Or Famous Ray's. Or Ray's Famous Original. Anyway, the slices there are huge, and weigh a ton. Doughy, way too much cheese, you can't even tell there is tomato sauce on it. You can't grab a slice from there and walk to the subway. _____________________

I woke up this morning, and when I took a peek at the thread...yay! a Mari Weekend Update. ![]() Loved all your pics; I'm glad your Bay City presentation went well. ![]() The sci-fi pic was fabulous! The spaceship looks like the one from Flash Gordon! Pretty cool that you were watching the launch in your backyard. That pic gave me shivers, for some reason. ![]() And yes...I think it's great that members of the SL community come together when someone needs help. Thanks again, Mari. ![]() I'm glad the presentation went well too. I've done presentations in the RL plenty of times, but never in SL, an never quite like this. The spaceship is modeled after a Flash Gordon one - it's Zharkov's ship. 'course, my only RL knowledge of this is from the movie from the early 1980s - an cuz the vehicle was called "Zharkov's Ship." I still go cold for a moment or two when I hear the words "go with throttle up" in a launch, so shivers are understandable! It was a funny moment, though. I mean, in SL we can do the fantastic, the impossible - yet here I am having a backyard block party in the middle of suburbia. What school do you go to - and does it cost anything (tuition)? My SL daughter has all but dropped out of SL when her school closed in the whole OpenSpace fiasco that occurred, so I'm trying to find her a new one (it's the mommy's job, apparently...lol). The school is HardKnock Elementary, located in the Funky Town region. There is a tuition feel (I know it's something for new members, an then 400 per semester after that). I've gone to HardKnock since the first day it opened in 2006. Yay...another weekend update from Mari. *cheers* Wow Mari....wonderful pics! The sci-fi pic is gorgeous. But I think this one is my favorite. You do such a nice job capturing the everyday joys in your SL photos. Thanks bunches! Yer welcome! Glad you like the bus piccie. It's one I've tried to catch jes so before, but that spot in Shermerville was perfect. Heck, the School Bus signs are there, and placed by LL themselves. In a lot of ways, my Second Life is like an overly nostalgic look at my RL childhood -- or, more like it, the RL childhood I thought everyone else was havin'. I often try to catch a lot of that in my picccies. When I'm not doing Sci-Fi piccies or someting, or doing things that a RL kid of my age would have little business doing (the big Bay City presentation, for one). Love that sci fi pic Mari! You should be proud,it's very nice. ![]() Yer welcome - an I dunno yet. I s'pect I might be in the running, but beyond that I don't know. Mari - I love all the pix but want to visit the scifi place! SLURL please. I don't have a SLURL, but I can tell you that the sim name is Planet Mongo, created by Lumiere Noir. The space ship in that piccie is also a freebie, available in the region. _____________________

do you mean Pizza Regina? I really don't remember the name, this was years ago. It was just a small mom and pop type store, that sold pizza and subs. I use to bartend at Houlihan's in Faneuil Hall and after work every night,we would go get drunk at the shamrock and then head to there after for a slice of pizza. Either I was just really drunk all the time or it was the best pizza in the world. ![]() _____________________

On Saturday, right after I came back from voting for Honey's pose, someone from the Forum Cartel IM'd me and I cant remember the name; it started with a 'K' I think. Asked me to go to 'Neko Yo' and vote for her, in a contest there. I couldn't go right that moment and asked for a LM to go later. So, later I went and could not find the contest, at the Neko Yo store. Anyone know who that might have been who IM'd me? I did try...... It wasn't me, but you can look at the members of the Cartel in alphabetical order. There aren't many names that start with K. |

For th' record, though, I prefer pepperoni and mushroom. And no "cracker crust." _____________________
