Anyway, I made the item in about 10 minutes from bits of scrap plastic and went along to the contest wearing the tail and nothing else, and I was a joint winner! WOOT!

You won a joint?

Take off ketchup, relish, onions. Leave mustard. Add some sauerkraut.

I'm a purist.

That's fine too. Or some hot onion sauce, or chili *no beans*

Much like pizza, the various nuances of the hotdog can be a subforum all it's own.

The best thing I can think of to do with a hotdog is throw it in the trash. Nasty food.

Ah, you think small! Vest is already here, helmet on the way, next up would have to be pants ;)

And how cool would it be to "feel" friends hug you? Or being hit in a combat sim? Or, well, the adult stuff.

Every lil' gadget slowly gets closer to the day we can "feel" what we touch online.

The day SL can incorporate all our senses is a long ways off, but that day is slooooowly coming.
I think this will be so awesome when technology finally allows for it.

So, I just got invited to another wedding in SL, my neighbor from my first land here. But, the kicker is that the woman he's marrying is the alt of the woman he was partnered with previously. Got that? I'm confused too!

So weird. I knew he had these two woman he was involved with. The main one, who he was seeing in RL as well and the other one, who "kept him busy" when the 1st one wasn't able to be online and this one was soley an inworld situation. They knew about each other, according to him and were ok with the arrangement.

One day, I was out shopping, and the other woman, who I'd never met, saw me and IM'd me. I was confused that she knew me, and didn't respond immediately but looked at her profile and noticed that my friend was in her picks. So, I Im'd her back and we got talking and became rather friendly. Mind you, I was never friendly at all with his main girl, but we'd met a couple of times. I just continued under the assumption that she was his second in line, since that's what was presented to me.

Still following this?

Somewhere along the line, Woman #1 and the guy broke up the partnership. I never found out why, since we've been a bit out of touch. I've also been a bit out of touch with my new friend, his woman #2. Whatever, you know people sometimes just fall out of reach here so I thought nothing of it.

Today, I get a gmail from the man, apologizing for being out of the loop, and confessing that these 2 woman are one and the same! And, that he's getting married to the alt of the main girl next week lol. And hopes I'm not angry that he kept this from me and he'll explain further when he has a chance. Obviously, I don't care, everyone has their reasons and since I know some personal things about his RL situation with her, I could never be annoyed by it. Has no effect on me, I was just happy to finally hear from him and to know all was well.

SL is SO confusing at times! If it didn't make sense to you, it barely made sense to me either.

Anyway, 2 weddings now in a couple of weeks to attend :) I haven't been to any yet here. I missed the other couple I was invited to, for reasons out of my control :( Guess I have some shopping to do lol.

Various "hide the wiener" jokes come to mind as well, but I love you too much to do that. :p

It doesn't surprise me. I've never had a decent hot dog west of the Mississippi it seems.

LOL. Actually, I do eat tofu. One of my favorite recipes is Chinese pan fried tofu with scallions. I dug up the cookbook it's in the other week and keep meaning to make it for dinner.

/me puts tofu on shopping list for next week :)

nonono don't blame California, for his distaste, you'll have to pull him out of something else, but I am in California and adore hot dogs, in all their forms.

So, I just got invited to another wedding in SL, my neighbor from my first land here. <snip> The plot line from "As the SL Turns" </snip>

The only really strange part is that he led people to believe they were two different people.

But then it leads to the old question. "If you are partnered with someone and then go out with that persons alt, is it cheating?" :p

BTW, hi everyone. Back after an rl weekend from hell. :D

But are you "from" California? Or calling it home ;)

I was generalizing of course lol. Already outed myself as a NY'er eating tofu

I know, it's rather odd, isn't it? I don't get the need for it, unless both were trying to hide it from some RL partners, or something like that. I do know the main, was his "pet" more or less, and the alt, was more of an equal. Perhaps they tired of the domination situation and decided they wanted a more traditional life afterall.

And I supposed it's only cheating if the main gets jealous :p

You went home for the weekend? sweet! :D

Don't even joke about the other. I *know* I saw a drama thread where a woman made an alt for the sole purpose of seeing if her partner *would* cheat on her. Talk about a lose-lose situation!
